Souvlaki GR Thornbury — Restaurant in Melbourne

Hi ordered a delivery from your Thornbury store and was really not impressed with food at all, really bad value for money. I sent a messenger complaint, filled out the form on the website and then emailed but have had zero response via every method. Our order last week was really expensive considering portion sizes and food quality, the food arrived stone cold not helped by the fact that our 2 cold drinks had been laid flat on top of everything hot inside the paper bag (we had to microwave everything). The zucchini (which we ordered with tzatziki and arrived without it) was a few limp, thin, greasy slices. The Greek salad was all iceberg lettuce and about 2 slices each of cucumber and tomato, 3 cheap tiny olives. I ordered a vegetarian souvlaki which was nothing but a sprinkle of feta, and a few chips with mustard in some bread. The saganaki was ridiculously expensive for two cardboard like thin slivers. My partner said the only ok thing was the 2 grilled chicken sticks they ordered. At $65 we were not happy, so expensive considering the portion sizes and quality. Wouldn’t re-order from any of your store locations ever again due to this experience. I am also really disappointed that my complaints have been completely ignored by your team. Surely some acknowledgment should have been made, really terrible...

I came here today with two others on a very cold wet day.. Although our plan was to have a light snack somewhere else in the area, we noticed a street sign saying Souvlaki GR. On a spur of the moment decision, we chose this place. Walked in and a young man greeted us and led us to the table. The bottle of water & glasses followed. Menu given. We ordered the Lamb souvlaki, saganaki (it's a grilled cheese) and Pork souvlaki (included chips in it). The saganaki came first.The taste was a perfect chewy taste, exactly what a saganaki should be. Next came the Lamb meal. The lamb was delicious & tender pieces. They've clearly mastered the science of cooking great lamb. The meat quality was top notch. And the rest of the ingredients were fresh.. the lettuce, onion, tomato.. the pita bread & tzatziki also tasty. Wow.. we cleared everything on our plates! When we had originally ordered, the young man was considerate to tell us there would be a wait in cooking the pork. When it arrived, there were chips & ingredients included within the wrapped up Souvlaki.. the pork was top quality, just as the lamb. We got good vibes whilst here and that's enough to convince us to be return customers. All meals were of appropriate sizes to satisfy our appetites. We left happy and yes.. we...

Never again. Ordered take away. It was delivered. I was disappointed.

Ordered 3 chicken souvlaki with chilli and garlic sauces and all salads. . immediately I could tell when I got the delivery that at $11 each these were not going to be good value. Salad consisted of one piece of tomato... nothing green was seen and not even sure I could taste any onion.. the salad was replaced with chips. If you want a chip sandwich go for it... because there will be not a lot of chicken in it... lots of chips though. sauce was okay but the size of it well.... it's small... about half the size of a real kebab from a food truck.

But the worst bit was the 2 party packs of chicken at $64 you would expect a reasonable amount... try 2 small containers the size of a saucer... yep cup and saucer... what you would normally call small for around $8 elsewhere... not enough for a meal... they must have small partys....

Yep I got a refund... first impressions count and while the store looks clean and bright as you drive past... just continue driving past.... it's...
