Crunch Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went for brunch, all meals looked delicious, from simple toast to full brekkie. I ordered something in between which was also yummy. All meals are served with house made basil pesto and chilli pesto. The store itself is quirky and unique and staff are happy, helpful and friendly. The only negative thing was the selection of non coffee beverages. Don't expect to find anything you have seen before. While a nice ice cold coke would have complimented my meal perfectly (and taken the edge off the spicy condiments), the closest I could come to was an organic cola infused with lime & pear, no caffeine and little sugar. Whatever you order, make sure to have the black beans and the mushrooms. The perfectly seasoned and semi-puréed black beans are served in a large pot whereas the exquisite mushrooms are small and served whole. Both are proper delish alone, but once you’ve forked a little mushroom and dunked it in the beans, you’ll believe in breakfast angels.

I usually swap the sourdough for toasted pide (always generously buttered) and don’t forget to ask for the house made, complimentary, chilli paste/sauce thingys. Boom.
