What. A. Gem!!

My friend had seen Tickled Pink’s ad on Instagram — $39 for a brunch board, so we decided to go check it out.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the super friendly staff — considering how young they all are, it’s impressive to see the quality of service they’re capable of offering!

The interior (I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos) is great — a beautiful contrast of very dark pink and brighter (yet soft) pink colours. From the walls, to the menu boards, to the crockery — everything has that pink theme and it’s done extremely tastefully.

The coffees were fantastic, but just look at that brunch board — what a great value for money!!

The brunch is vegetarian and you don’t even miss meat (if you’re a meat eater like my friend and I)! The omelette is light and fluffy and packed with flavour; it had pumpkin and feta in it. Then, you get a couple of sourdough toasts — one with smashed avocado and one more like a bruschetta. Then come the pink pancakes — they were a bit on the denser side and could’ve been fluffier, but definitely not bad. Before you move onto the chia yogurt (which was pink too), there’s an orange slice acting as a palette cleanser.

Overall, we were very happy with everything and would definitely come back to try something else.

My partner and I had the most shocking dining experience here. Once arrived, they had us sit and then had us wait 30 minutes to take our order. It was an very slow Sunday, so it felt like the staff had to go out of their way to ignore us and proceed to instead chat amongst themselves. There were 3 staff members on, and all of them were more involved in talking about concerts with each other than taking our order.

Once the waitress finally came up to take our order, she looked annoyed to be working. She approached us with “Yeah, what would you like?” Instead of greeting us and kindly asking.

Once our meal came, we were shorted our juice (and charged— we had to rectify ar register) our side of bacon that was $5 extra was small slices of almost just bacon fat, not full bacon.

We were really looking forward to going to this cafe on Saturday 24/4/21. I booked online with the $39.00 for (2) people offer. The booking was accepted, with a text message sent to my phone confirming. Drove to Elwood, only to be told that 'they were closing' at 2.30pm. I then asked, 'Why does your online booking platform take bookings for a 2.30pm as well as a 3pm BOOKING time, if you are telling me you close at 2.30pm? Such a bad booking process, staff are inept with any answers & don't care. Won't be going back, poorly run 'Booking Platform', when customers do the right thing.
