Tikka Lounge Indian Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

It was very taxing experience, went there with frens. We discussing the menu when the waitress walk in and says " are u ready to order?" . We were still discussing the menu and my fren has not been to many indian restaurant so was explaining what cheese naan is. The waitress roles her eyes and walks to other table. We are soo shocked , we are like what just happened. She comes back gives this mocking smile and says call me when u r ready and is walking out. We hurried say we are ready. And kinda are stuff in between do we just walk out or be decent and finish dinner. Then we decide to stay thinking the food wld be atleast good. The food was good. This waitress had an attitude that was just out of place. It was nt directed towards us, she just was rude to her co-workers , there was another indian elderly lady, who was about to ask something, she walked passed her without even a glance. She kept rolling her eyes at people, like she was in this hectic job that she hated. But restaurant was not even full. Service i would give a negative 5 if possible. I feel sorry for the owner and chef's inside. Really bad service. Me or any of ours frens would not go back there just because of the service. A superb front runner for authentic Punjabi food in Cranbourne. My family and I went for dinner last night and we were extremely happy and cannot wait to be back. The ambiance, furniture, crockery were really taught through, often things overlooked in Indian restaurants.

Service and comfort can be improved, restaurant was a little cold and waitresses weren’t as attentive or knowledgeable about the dishes. But none of this are reasons to fault the food.

We ordered our food Medium hot but it was still too spicy so next time we will combine a few mild and mediums.

We ordered the following: Butter Chicken 9/10 Madras Chicken 10/10 Kadai Prawn 10/10 Aloo Gobi 10/10 Banyan Bahrta 8/10 Naans 10/10 Rice 8/10

The curries all tasted authentic and we could really distinct the different spices and flavours. Aloo Gobi and Kadai Prawns were our top favourite. For a family that never orders Butter Chicken we were really impressed on how good it was too.

40 minutes to serve foods. When we asked why is the delay- waitress mentioned they served drinks and entree early (5 small piece of tandoori chicken) then food will coming late. No appology at all, we left the place with all packed food after such a waiting time, my kids full tummy with two mango shakes without foods. This is not the first and only restaurant so dont bring an excuses , atleast acknowledge your delay. Atmosphere 2 stars, because sat in cold breeze in tabel 3. If waitress has little kind to youmd kids to offer corner tabel , that is much appreciated. I cant rate food, because didnt get to eat warm food at the restaurant .
