Edited : Just wanted to make sure we reply to the below statements from the owner. Thanks for responding. Let’s go through this. It seems like we were late for our booking, no not really. We booked the table for 8 pm & the email confirmation said, if we would be late than 30 mins, let the restaurant know, we got there 8:15ish, so I don’t see an issue there. We did not mention the food problems to the staff, not true, I did express my displeasure towards the food, both while service & when I went up to pay. We too leftovers home, nonsense, the food was really not up to the mark, we left most on the table. The reason to drop a review was to make sure customers know what they might get. Also, the way the owner has bent facts & tried to push the blame on the customer, speaks volumes of the place. All the best, I’ll leave it there.

Review : We had gone here with my brother and his partner last night to have some nice Indian food. We ordered the non-veg platter, which had too much colour and the chicken was dry. We went ahead with mains, got the kadhai chicken, malai kofta and daal makhni. The chicken in the kadhai had a distinct smell, suggesting it wasn’t fresh. The dal makhni had too much turmeric, to a point it was a bit bitter. The rotis we ordered were plain ones, but were served butter rotis. My visit to Utsav Indian Restaurant was a letdown, despite the glowing reviews I had heard. While the service and hostess were commendable, the culinary experience fell short of expectations. The chai was a disgrace, lacking the authentic flavor one expects from a good cup of chai. Additionally, the biryani, though decent, resembled a pulao more than a true biryani, missing the aromatic essence that makes it special. The samosas were a disappointment as well, noticeably undercooked with an off-color appearance.

However, amidst the disappointments, the pista kulfi stood out as the only saving grace. It was rich, creamy, and bursting with delightful pistachio flavor. Despite its excellence, it couldn't salvage the overall experience.

The raita, meant to accompany the biryani, was another disappointment. Instead of the refreshing yogurt-based condiment with cucumber, it appeared as curdled yogurt mixed with cucumber, leaving an unpleasant texture and taste.

While the staff was attentive and the service satisfactory, the culinary missteps overshadowed these positives. I regretfully cannot recommend Utsav Indian Restaurant based on my underwhelming visit. The lackluster execution of basic dishes, such as the chai, biryani, and samosas, leaves much to be desired. Don't know why this restaurant is so highly rated on google . Had chicken tikka and malai tikka for starters, both of them had no taste. In mains ordered kadhai chicken which seemed to be half cooked. Roti were really good. Had ordered chicken biryani which was tasteless and it was like pulav more than biryani. The food is overpriced and portions are too small. Resturant is really clean and nice but food is tasteless.. Service is good.. But the food has totally spoiled the night .

I totally accept that we should have told about the food when in resturant, but the food was already half eaten, in that case what could have been done ? We came to this restaurant based on google reviews which is why I felt it good to give a review here.
