Vicky’s in Kew is a time capsule — the décor hasn’t budged since the Underbelly era. Simple tables, a few bent pictures on the wall (some hanging like they’ve had one too many vinos 🍷), and the unmistakable feeling of a place that’s been loved for decades. And honestly? That’s part of the charm.
Because while the room hasn’t changed in years, the service is outstanding. The young ladies on the floor were exceptional — attentive, quick, and genuinely welcoming in a way you don’t see often enough. Family friendly without a doubt — a highchair was waiting for us the moment we walked in, and the staff couldn’t have been more thoughtful.
The pizza? Exactly how it should be — full of flavour, balanced, and none of that “all crust, no taste” business.
And for bonus entertainment, the night included a cameo from “Karen of Kew.” She promised she didn’t want to “make a fuss”… but somehow ended up requesting a Pinot tasting because there was no Cab Sav. Pure theatre.
All up, we had a brilliant early night out, left full, happy, and already planning our return.

Read moreI was here as a part of a group. The group loves this place and this is their go to restaurant. Wide variety of Italian style food including pizza. People seemed very happy and staff friendly. The QR code they use is not the standard Services Victoria QR code system. Apparently this is ok but it doesn't help track people's location. Too hard. Perhaps part of the Covid plan but we couldn't have water on the table and it has to be poured when you want the small glass refilled. I'd recommend taking your own. I couldn't get enough water and got turned of asking. Finally it's very noisy. I could hardly hear the person sitting across from me so be prepared for that too. A pity as I'd come there to talk to the people in the group. Parking is easy just...
Read moreThis place is an institution and hasnt changed in for ever. No surprise whatsoever it has 5 stars. I recently rediscoverd this place. The pizza is great if you are like me and love that anglo kind of pizza with a super thin base and loads and loads of toppings. But its not just Pizza and pasta. I had a veal thingy the other day it was wonderful with prawns and a sort of gravy. Delicious and recently i had an eye fillet with a peppercorn sauce. Came with a piping hot mash and a fresh as you can imagine salad. It was absolutely magic. I ordered a serve of big fat piping hot chips as well. The decor is super traditional. Its usually full of people so its a nice homely atmosphere. not frou frou. Go for the food its banging! Oh and best of...
