It was a long day and in desperate need for a cuppa, I tried this cute little cafe in the ‘village’ of Balnarring. The first thing I noticed when I came in was the stunning wall mural. Breath taking. I ordered my cuppa and brownie and took a seat and noticed the ‘dog wall’ where photos of beloved canine visitors are showcased. Nice touch. Brownie was nice and not too sweet. Hot chocolate was actually hot! Nice spot for individuals or groups as it’s a good size. Kids are well catered for here with some toys and books for them to play with. Food selection is nice and I look forward to coming here again and ordering something more substantial. Good parking out the front. ☕️ 🥄 d e b i 🍴🍪

DO NOT BUY YOUR CAKE FROM HERE. I ordered a custom cake for my 18th birthday and what I was given was nothing like the picture I was shown. When I came in to the order the cake they refused to do the design that I asked for ( even though it was a previous cake they had already made) and showed me a different design, to which I ended up agreeing to, but what I received looked like a 5 year old did it. The cake was the smallest size and because of the design they cut 1/3 of the bottom off and they charged $65. Will never buy from them again.

Nice little cafe in the Balnarring Village, a charming little place with some good shops. The coffees here, one conventional flat white one almond milk flat white, were well made and really quite lovely. Service was fine too. Recommended.

My experience at “The Village People” consisted of high hopes followed by nothing but a tattered remnants of what once was my experience of good service. Fear began to build inside me as my water was delivered with what I assumed could only be fecal matter. I decided to put my anxiety to rest, regarding the unhygienic water vessel, with a Valium and scotch. My husband was delivered a beetroot salad that had a distinct aluminium can-taste and initiated his gag reflexes which, unfortunately led to his premature death. I again put optimism forward as I was served my meal of avocado toast. This meal was adequate yet nothing my 6 year old child couldn’t prepare with his eyes closed. Overall, there are no words in the English dictionary that could describe the horror I witnessed at...

Took my special needs daughter there for lunch after a busy day. Most of the cafe was packed up despite being almost 2hrs before closing (so just ask if they look like they're shut). The clerk & barista were helpful & kind. It's a tasteful, spacious cafe, a great menu with room for improvement. Our hostess was shaking & juggling the soft drink as she bought it out which then overflowed when my daughter opened it. Instead of offering napkins or help she turned & walked back inside leaving us scrambling for the nearby tables to mop up the mess. That said, the food was lovely, the space is great & the raised garden beds even allow for friendly magpie...
