Zambrero Balnarring — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve never written a public complaint before, but my experience at Zambrero Balnaringg was so upsetting that I feel a responsibility to warn others.

During my visit, I interacted with a manager named Gabby, and her behavior was completely unacceptable for someone in a leadership role. She was dismissive, unprofessional, and outright rude from the moment we spoke. I calmly raised a concern about an order mistake, and instead of apologizing or offering a solution, Gabby rolled her eyes, talked over me, and gave me attitude like I was wasting her time. When I asked to speak to someone above her, she laughed and said she was the highest authority there. That alone tells me this location is poorly managed from the top down.

Gabby’s tone was hostile, she made no attempt to de-escalate or even be civil, and her behavior embarrassed me in front of other customers. I left shocked and frustrated not because of the mistake itself, but because of the complete lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism from a supposed “manager.”

If this is who Zambrero chooses to represent their brand, it says a lot about what they value and it’s clearly not customer service. I will be reporting this incident through every channel I can corporate feedback forms, review platforms, and social media, until it is addressed properly.

I'm a Balnarring local and I was super excited when I heard Zam was coming to town! I've been here 3 times so far and each time the food was delicious! Great filling, great tasting, quick service even when busy. One of the times it took a few minutes longer than normal as a young kid was learning but unlike the other comments I'm more understanding and less entilted. There learning people leave em alone and chill out, you'll get your fix damn. Keep it up guys...

First time ever eating at zambrero’s and wasn’t too sure what to get but as soon as i entered I was smiled at and greeted and let know that they would be with me shortly, even though both girls were with other customers.
