This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant, let alone a cafe. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. My previous visits to this establishment had been average, but this time was an absolute nightmare.

To my shock and disappointment, I noticed a 10% surcharge on the receipt, which none of the staff bothered to mention. It later transpired that they charge extra for weekends and public holidays which they determine such as today being a religious holiday and not a public holiday, but do not make this clear to customers. When I inquired about the surcharge, I was met with rude and unprofessional behaviour from the staff and 0 customer service skills. They were dismissive of my concerns, telling me it is what it is, and showing no empathy or understanding whatsoever.

To make matters worse, the so-called 'fine print' at the bottom of the menu, which supposedly mentions the surcharge fails to mention the percent, is minuscule and barely legible and simply states surcharge may apply. It's ridiculous that the restaurant expects customers to comb through the menu with a magnifying glass to avoid getting ripped off.

When I asked to speak to the manager, I was met with even more hostility and zero customer service. He was unsympathetic to my situation, claiming that it was my problem and that he didn't have time to go through the menu with me. His behavior was utterly unacceptable and left me feeling disgusted.

I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The lack of transparency regarding the surcharge, combined with the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the staff, makes for an all-around unpleasant dining experience. Do yourself a favour and steer clear...

Today (11.11.23) was our first time visiting Wolf Cafe and Eatery as a family. When we got there, we were shown to the back corner, close to the green backdrop and black wall.

The service was good and the food came promptly. However, the Shakshouka had a HAIR in it. This wad absolutely unprofessional and disgusting, as it already ruined our mood. We were then offered to choose another item, but this is no way a compensation for ruining our dish.

Now, coming to the worst part about our experience, while we were finishing up our meals, the METAL COVER FROM THE AIRCONDITIONER FELL directly on my mum and dad's heads. My mum was directly impacted, as it hit her first, causing her to feel extreme pain. It also created a bruise on my dad's head. I can't seem to understand how the infrastructure of the restaurant is not in adequate condition.

I firmly believe that the food hygiene and physical condition of the restaurant should be regulated. We did not attend to ruin our Saturday. We had to see the doctors after that and now we are waiting to see if the incident created anything more than a soft tissue injury. The doctor has asked my parents to take nurofen and monitor for the next few hours. We are terribly disappointed and unsatisfied. You have to really take a deep...

Wolf Cafe & Eatery is a halal-friendly cafe located in Altona North. Visiting for breakfast, we ordered the Green bowl and Knefeh French Toast to share. For drinks we opted for a matcha latte and a chai with a coffee later added to the mix. Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented.

The green bowl which included sautรฉed seasonal greens, halloumi, hummus and a poached egg was nourishing and full of flavour. Everything in the bowl worked together beautifully. The hummus was lovely, the pomegranate added a hint of sweetness and the egg was perfectly poached. This warm bowl makes for a great option in winter and is highly recommended if you love halloumi like I do.

The Knefeh French toast filled with sweet cheese was so pretty and delicious. I loved the sweet cheese filling, it worked so beautifully with the rose water syrup. This dish is perfect for a sweet tooth and also works well for sharing as a sweet treat as I did.

Overall I had an amazing experience at Wolf Cafe & Eatery. It ticks all the boxes; delicious food, friendly service, good coffee and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking them out if youโ€™re in the area. I rate it โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ out of 5. Thanks very much...

@wolfcafe_eatery in Altona is a real hidden gem in the west! It is family friendly too ๐Ÿ’ซโœจ๐Ÿ’› We tried their special Fried Chicken Bao as well as the highly recommended Prawn Tacos ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿปโœจ๐ŸŒฎ (thanks @vivlovestoeat!) I added a bowl of yummy thick cup Chips ofc ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿ˜„โœจ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The serving sizes were massive and so generous - unlike some other brunch spots Iโ€™ve been too. The tacos had 3 prawns each which really blew my mind. Taste wise it was also bang on!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฅโœจ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป for drinks we ordered the biscoff milk shake ๐Ÿฅ› and the Energy Green Smoothie (my attempt at being healthy-ish continues LOL) ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‹๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ซ The cafe was incredibly busy with locals on a long weekend and I could see why๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ฅ ! It is in such a hidden spot next to the bunnings. We actually got lost finding it because google took us to the wrong location ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿš—. Glad we made it in the end and the hospitality staff were so kind and welcoming even though I was late. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’ฅโœจ Highly recommend this one my west side friends ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Yummy! We popped by Altona beach and it was such a lovely spot for a walk after the brunch ๐Ÿ’›โœจ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿ–
