Vamoska is a hidden gem located in Altona North tucked away behind Millers Junction Village. This recently opened cafe has an extensive menu of fusion dishes.
Visiting for breakfast we ordered the miso steamed salmon salad and French toast along with a spice chai latte and tea to drink. Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented and our drinks were served with little cookies.
I loved the Nutella filled brioche French toast. It was sweet but not overly sweet, I had no problem finishing this dish by myself. The Nutella was nicely balanced by the coconut custard and fresh fruit which included passionfruit, banana and berries.
My friend enjoyed the miso steamed salmon salad. The miso paired well with the salmon and the salad was light, fresh and tasty.
In addition to the food, the other highlight of Vamoska was the cute play area with toys and books for little ones. For those looking for somewhere family friendly add this to your list.
Overall I had a lovely experience at Vamoska and recommend you check them out if in the area. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Thanks very much...

The family owned business is hidden behind large retailers and warehouses but conveniently next to the soon to be opened Reading Cinema with ample car park available. The cafe was only been open for 2 months and impacted by lockdowns ☹️ . The team is friendly and welcoming and the space has enough seating for groups big and small- including a kids indoor area. The mural on the walls is so cute as well. . We ordered a bit of everything, Coffee was good and their cold press juice was amazing. I ordered the Indian summer and it was super refreshing and healthy- with the hint of ginger and tumeric ☀️ The blueberry smoothie was also pretty good. The Tumeric latte was a bit on the weaker side- more milky than what I’m used to.
Food we ordered the fried chicken Bao with fries, the miso steamed Salmon Salad and the Smashed avo on toast. Presentation looked great and the serving size of the smashed arvo was huge. My fave was the fried chicken Bao- anything with chips is good for me 😄 check them out if you’re a local as they set up for business...

My partner and I are moving to the area and wanted to scope out the local café's in Altona North. We'd kept an eye on this brand new establishment for a while, so when it was time for a cheeky Sunday brunch, we knew we had to check it out!
Atmosphere was overall very good! Location is tucked away from the main shopping area further up the road. Staff were very welcoming and prompt with our coffee orders. They stock Dukes coffee beans; my favourite coffee roasters in Melbourne.
Big breakfast was well priced and very flavourful; i could taste the quality ingredients used. My partner had the avocado smash which was exceptional, very refreshing on the palette thanks to a good use of fetta, mint & citrus.
We'll definitely be coming back! Was great to be able to chat to the staff for a bit and share our thoughts on the meal. They've only been open for a week or so so if you live nearby, definitely check them out! You won't be...
