We had a disappointing and uncomfortable experience at the Condiment Station at Yo MG (Fountain Gate) last night. I was with my wife and two young kids when my 7-year-old son curiously walked up to look at the condiment section near the ice cream — as any child would. He didn’t touch anything, just looked.
One of the staff members — a young girl with glasses — stopped what she was doing and made a rude, unnecessary comment while glaring at him. Her tone and attitude were dismissive, condescending, and frankly came across as racially biased. I went ahead and ordered the ice cream for my son anyway, hoping it would settle the mood, but she continued to show zero courtesy, no smile, and acted like serving us was a burden.
She completely forgot that she’s in a customer-facing role. If kids aren’t welcome to simply look at the toppings without being judged or stared down, then maybe the condiments should be kept behind the counter.
We left feeling hurt and disrespected, especially because we were just trying to enjoy a family evening. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses the importance of treating all customers with respect and basic decency — especially children.
We will not be returning, and I hope others have a better experience...
Read moreI was really excited to try the YOMG Chick’n Box, but sadly, it ended up being a major disappointment. For $22.90, I was expecting something much better. Let’s start with the chicken it was incredibly dry and flat! Honestly, it was like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for way too long. The texture was off, and it lacked any real flavor or juiciness. Not at all the crispy, juicy bite I was hoping for. The mac and cheese wasn’t any better. It tasted like it had been sitting around for a day and was completely lacking in any sort of seasoning or richness. It was so bland that I couldn't even get through a few bites. And then the crinkle fries… they were a major letdown as well. They weren’t crunchy at all, and honestly, they didn’t even taste fresh. They just kind of sat there like an afterthought, soggy and unappealing. The only okay thing was their buttermilk ranch sauce. All in all, I had high hopes, but the meal really didn’t deliver. For the price, I expected fresh, flavorful food, not something that felt stale and uninspired. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it unless they make some serious...
Read moreI had eaten burgers from here several times before and they had always been so good! The staff here are always friendly, however I was extremely disappointed tonight when I had been waiting for my burger and got it to take away, after waiting 35 minutes I finally got my food, and at this point I didn't mind waiting because I know how busy the staff were and that they were trying their best. The wait wasn't the problem. I was most disappointed when after finally getting home I found that the patty in my burger was completely charcoal. The taste was horrible and I couldn't even eat any of my burger. I was most disappointed with the fact that the staff there would be okay with putting a patty like that in a burger that costs $10. Im sure that in future people would appreciate waiting a few more minutes for a freshly cooked patty that isnt charcoal if the staff simply explained the situation rather than giving the burnt patties to take away customers to avoid the confrontation. Thankyou for reading my review and I hope the staff take this into consideration in the...
