Very rude telephone manners. Our family has been this restaurant’s customer for years. Today, I called to order takeaway chicken. I said I want to order “half sweet chilly and half original”. The staff (or maybe the owner) cut me off and started saying “we don’t do half-half. Since opening we have never done half-half”. I got really confused because we’ve been ordering this menu at least twice a month for the last 5 years. I kept explaining I have been your customer for a long time and I have always ordered this. He kept arguing the restaurant has never offered half-half and I must’ve ordered from somewhere else. For those of you who are not korean, “half-half” is a common order for fried chicken in our culture so this description is not a foreign term. I froze for a sec then I realised this restaurant calls it regular (or maybe medium) or large size. My husband normally orders it so I forgot. As I realised, I said “oh you mean I should order in regular/large right?” And the guy agreed. He was very condescending throughout the whole conversation… I should’ve bitten my tongue but I said to him “if customers are confused, couldn’t you at least try to understand what they are after and guide them to find the right portion size by explaining the sizes you have instead of continually saying we never offer such option despite the customer’s saying she’s been your customer for a long time?” This guy said “how can we guess what you mean and as I said we never do half half.”
I wanted to just hang up but still ordered “1 regular sweet chilly and 1 regular original” - really similar portion size to our normal term half-half which had me confused…
This is my first ever negative review to a business. I had to leave this as the conversation was very uncomfortable and unpleasant … never expected to be treated this way after being a regular customer for years…
———————- Owner’s attitude is shown below again. I never tried to teach them how their portion sizes should be named as. The point was, I was simply confused. All you needed to say was “you might have been confused. We dont do half half but what you must have been ordering mus be two regular sizes”. This one comment would’ve reminded me right away. This person made no attempt to guide me. He was very abrupt and was willing to just hang up just because I got the menue wrong. No need to criticise and condescend to customers. Simply no need. Customers are only trying to buy their foods. Even in their apologies, this person wants to save his ego by re-iterating we don’t do half half. Even I said enough above that I did realise your sizing during the conversation. Not by your guidance. Very immature and unprofessional. Never...

I'd suggest go with a group as it's more of best when sharing restaurant as they mostly have large foods.
We ended up with the beef ribs soup and Korean fried chicken.
Beef rib soup was delicious and broth is top notch! Beed meat cooked well, nice soft and chewey at the same time as ribs should be, sad the portion wasn larger.
Korean fried chicken was good enough, but the star being the Honey mustard sauce! If you love honey mustard, this place got one that makes you want to buy a bottle of it and be one of those people who bring their own sauce to Korean fried chicken places!!
The Fried chicken profile wise would go between Gami chicken and ABC chicken so medium light coating makes a nice crispy coating that doesn't go soggy immediately which is nice, but the texture almost doesn't feel and look like Korean fried chicken.
That said, it's a good place to eat with friends and family if you love large pots of soup to share as that's...

Our first visit was as a couple, and this time it was with the full brood in tow. There was variety enough in the menu to satisfy all 5 of us. Kids had the original boneless fried chicken, squid rings and corn salad. Older one had the cold soba; missus and I shared the signature spicy beef rib soup.
Beef bone broth (their specialty) was spot on, heat from the spice was robust, and the ribs off the bone were generous and cooked perfectly. Pickles and condiments were generous. Happy and full for $64.10. Can’t wait to be back!
Update: they’ve recently increased their prices (as most places have) close to the end of 2022. There’s an expanded menu of entrees, mains and drinks. Mains now generally...
