Looks small from outside but the dishes they served should be tasted before judgment. It's really wow😋👌 I had to edit my review after 3rd visit into this place. We went to have dinner yesterday with same expectations like before. But completely unhappy with customer service and food. Looks like she is new girl and don't know anything about customer service. We ordered 5 foods with less spicy. She noted it down in her mobile and never repeated what she took into her mobile phone. We were confused if she got the right order. Luckily she got it right and we get our food. It didn't taste like before neither butter chicken nor goan fish curry. We couldn't distinguish which one was butter chicken and which one was fish. Both of them were too much spicy but we asked for less spicy. We run out of water in our table and we were looking for staff around but no one appeared until we finished our food. We were really felling hot and spicy and really needed water but poor staff never appeared in front. Just 5 customer in the venue but 0 customer service. Please train your staff how to provide good customer service. They should appear into the table at least once after the food is delivered. We can't go inside your kitchen looking for your floor...

Chandni Chowk offers an authentic Indian experience at the Coburg end of Sydney Road at about a fraction of the price of some of the inner city Indian restaurants we have have recently dined at. Opening up just ahead of Covid lockdowns in 2020 their take away business became essential to spice hungry locals.

We started our meal with tea chai and mango lassi as our entrees were being prepared. The Samosa chat and onion bhajji delicious but it was the sizzle platter with its tender chicken that got the attention of the entire restaurant.

For mains we went with butter chicken a chicken tikka masala and these were authentic in their spice levels and nice and warming. The lamb saagwala was also full flavoured and generous with the lamb. We tend to order lots of breads and only a little rice and got to try a chilli cheese naan... haven’t seen this anywhere before.

Desserts were a ghee and sweet affair and we tried a stand out carrot halva and classic halves which were exceptional. The carrot halva was easily the tastiest dessert we have had for a while, heated with a lovely textural chew from nuts.

Our host Joe was so friendly and helpful with her recommendations and made sure we all enjoyed out night. Thanks so much for...

My family and I were craving Indian and with fingers crossed we decided to try chandni chowk in coburg this time. Usually most Indian places leave us feeling like we’ve eaten something oily or unbalanced or left feeling bloated. But we were very pleasantly surprised with our culinary experience here. We ordered goat biryani, palak paneer, naans and accompanied that with mango lassi and their chai. We loved everything! The lassi was thick and nothing felt artificial. Every sip felt soooo good. The meat in the biryani was tender and flavourful. The palak paneer had great flavour and texture. My favourite was the chilli naan! Spicy, buttery with the perfect amount of salt! Loved it. Jyotsna, the sweet and attentive manager/co owner spoke to us about our tastes and spice levels and made sure they delivered the chilli naan to our spice levels. With all of the food you could tell that good ingredients went into it. The chai was great too. A little milky for me but I still thoroughly enjoyed the flavours. We hope to keep going back to try out the rest of their menu and to enjoy the very “Indian” vibe at the...

Really in the mood for a biriyani so takeaway @ Chandni Chowk Indian Restaurant saw me walk away with a delicious garlic naan and a flavoursome biriyani with plenty of succulent chunks of lamb. Love the sweet bits of caramelised onion. Very very tasty. Perfect choice for dinner. I returned again for more takeaway. Shahi Paneer Lots of lovely cubes of the Indian cheese immersed in a creamy curry, similar to butter chicken but different Butter Chicken A personal favourite this was on point. Lots of lovely chunks of tender chicken thoroughly enjoyed with the delicious, flavoursome creamy tomatoey curry Goat Curry Fantastic, lots of tender goat with this curry having a strong intense flavour to take the goat head on, this is so enjoyable Goan Fish Curry Creamy but spicy and with a different flavour profile, particularly with the mustard seeds adding a pop, covering the tender succulent pieces of fish.

We enjoyed a great meal at chandni chowk !Being our first time we had to rely on the positive reviews that we saw on google😀 and happy to report that we were glad we went.Ended up eating a lot more than we expected! Our daughter eats zero spices and they took great care to customise the malai chicken tikka to make it easy for her to eat, thank you🙏 We had lamb chops, goat biryani, and naan stuffed with chillies and Dilli waala goat korma.Everything tasted authentic and the portions were generous. The best thing was none of this felt heavy on the system the following day👏If I really have to sound like a food appreciater/critique ,perhaps the biryani could have a little less oil..it was delectable regardless🥳 Last but not the least the staff and owners take particular interest in each customer and serve them with a smile.I wish them all the best.
