On the 24/2/2019 at 10:20 myself and a bunch of friends entered the Merimbula MacDonald’s store and purchased meals each. After waiting at least 15 minutes we received our meals. We noticed one of the shakes was the incorrect flavour. We asked if it could be changed for the right one which it was. This is where the the story goes sour. I returned to the table with my shake to shortly be confronted by the story manager Ryan. He accused me of stealing the shake that paid for with my hard earned money. He meant over two of the girls sitting with us and violently snatching the shake from the table. The five of us were gobsmacked over what had just happened. He shortly returned accusing us he had video footage of me stealing the shake. There were family’s with young children sitting all around us as he proceeded to further dispute the situation. He was acting in a very unprofessional over something we hadn’t even done. We decided it wasn’t worth our time. We proceeded to leave the store and were followed by manager Ryan to be made feel like criminals. MacDonald Merimbula you need to clean up your act. Judging my the amount of nagative reviews on this site someone has there head in the sand. Read moreFilfthy place with terrible service. The orange, fake spray tanned girl at drive through had dirty fingernails but we looked past this. Took a look through the drive through window and noticed all the benches and equipment were filfthy with what looked like dirty rags thrown around. We ordered 3x cheese burger meals and 1x cheeseburger happy meal. Had to wait in waiting bay for our meals and when they arrived, chips were so cold. Burgers were thrown in the bag half unwrapped and squashed in a scrunched up paper bag like left over dog food.
I jumped out of the car, returned the meals and kindly requested they give me hot food. As I was waiting, there was a grumpy elderly man with hearing aids in his ears at the register. He was shouting at the cashier asking for two coffees to which she responds with "can you present your seniors card" and he understandingly was furious. She then calls the manager and they continue to argue with the poor old man requesting 2 separate seniors cards for his two coffees. WHAT THE HELL?? He's obviously a senior, why create such a scene and draw more bad attention to your already disgusting store? I don't get it.
We finally got our meals and they were cold again... I didn't bother to return them, I was so turned off.
Someone needs to call their head office about the presentation and service...
Read moreHonestly I read the reviews of this place and thought, man, this seems like a drag. After a long day at work, I had no other option so thought I’d bite the bullet - it’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, and never did I think I’d be writing a review for a McDonald’s just to justify it’s worth.
For those unfamiliar with the area, yes, there is an actual drive thru, it’s not just a sign. Just turn right at the main set of lights (if you’re facing it).
I approached the drive thru, they asked me if I had a code just like they do in the city, I gave it to them, they were prompt and polite, I went to pay, the only issue is they didn’t have a receipt (since nobody really asks for them nowadays anyway) and I had to go to the next window to fetch it. No biggie.
Get to the last window, I’m handed my soft drink, the syrup is great and the drinks cold, I get my meal and it’s nice and hot. Took me 10 mins to drive back to my hotel, everything still fine.
This Maccas is just as good as any other one - don’t listen to people rambling on...
