I gotta say, walking into this pub, from outside I was not expecting much but that sports bar... Oh my what a great setup. Possibly the best sports bar I've been to. The size of the areas was right, there were enough TVs and enough space to sit in and have a meal as well as see the races or any sports. The actual facilities were excellent. Very well kept and very aesthetic. Beer was cold, service was wonderful so I thought surely then the food must be average. I was wrong. Bloody great parmi, nothing game changing or earth shattering. Just a well executed tasty classic pot and parmi for a great price. My friend couldn't finish her steak so naturally I did. Where I live I have access to some of the best steak in the country and the best steak houses around, I'm also an avid cook and barbequer myself so I will rarely order a steak at a pub as they just don't hit the mark for me. This one was cooked perfectly, season correctly and while the cut of meat wasn't fantastic the chef did a brilliant job at making it the best it could be. While I personally wouldn't order it my friend was very happy with it and I was very surprised at how good this particular pub steak was. I would love to see what the chef can do with premium hand fed cuts but unfortunately the clientele here is not the right market for that. I haven't tried the tomahawk yet, that will be a shared meal for our last night here and I am looking forward to it immensely. If you've made it this far through my long winded review, thank you for reading and you need to try this pub if you like a good sports bar with good food and friendly service. Excellent job team. This is what happens when an establishment has the right people from the ground up. Keep up the good work and I hope to be working in mildura more regularly. I know what my local work pub shall be now. Stay tuned for the review of...

I never have the urge to write an online review about food quality or dining experiences. But on this occasion I feel that Management should be aware of my experience 3 days ago. Usually the meals & dining experience are quite good at the MWM's Club Bistro. However, unfortunately on Frid, 13 Jan 2023, it was my b'day during the week, so I decided to use my club members b'day voucher. My meal was ok, but my husband's Silverside Steak meal was absolutely awful & virtually inedible. It was very hard to cut because it was mostly fat & very grisly & not up to your normal standards. We spoke to one of the waiters & his attitude was poor to say the least. His brief & turse explanation was quote, "we don't normally have or serve Silverside!" That was it! No apology for the bad meal quality & no offer of sympathy. We thought he may at least request a replacement meal or an offer of free drinks, or speak to the chef or supervisor, but no offer to do anything constructive about it. So we had a terrible experience all round, & we literally left with a "bitter taste in our mouths." In the past, our dining experience in the bistro has been quite pleasant, however after this experience, we may not return again & we are hesitant to recommend the bistro as being a good, or staff friendly place to dine, when friends or family visit Mildura from...

I was the only person waiting at the bar counter to be served when another person went up to a different section of the bar. When the female bar staff member looked up from what she was doing she went straight over to serve the other person. I called out that I was next. She came over to me and I commented that I've quite often been served out of turn at various establishments and that I had had enough of it so I called out. She said good on me for speaking out but she said it in such a patronising tone and the rest of our interaction was awkward as I felt she was putting me down. Later I went to the bar again. I was the only customer standing there and the same person completely ignored me. I waited for a while and watched as she continued to wipe down the counter but she wouldn't make eye contact. I refused to call out to her to come and serve me. I went round to the other section of the bar and asked someone else to serve me. I told him that the female staffer must have an issue with me as she was now ignoring me. I didn't feel comfortable being disrespected like that so I left the venue. Before doing so I wrote a note of what happened and left it at the unattended reception desk. I went there for a pleasant evening and left feeling completely disrespected purely for asking to be...

Mildura Working Man's Club offers very good food at reasonable prices. They even do a terrific breakfast on weekends! This friendly club was once the home of the longest bar in the world. Unfortunately, the 91 metre bar was dismantled in the mid 1990s to make way for more revenue-raising poker machines. I'm not sure the Club Committee made the right decision to remove the bar as it would have remained a fantastic tourist attraction. Visitors to Mildura can easily obtain a 'Temporary Member' ticket which is valid for seven days. Wendy, Patsy or Veronica are likely to be not far away to assist and are all extremely friendly and helpful. The Club is located next to the Quest Apartment Hotel and on Mildura's main street (Deakin Avenue). On our most recent visit, our wait time was exceptionally long. Needless to say, they apologised and gave us a gift card. As they say in marketing, it's how you respond to bad situations that matter. Whether you are on your own or in a group, you will enjoy your visit to this great welcoming venue! We absolutely love this club and will keep returning for terrific food and service :-)

Food was 3/5 at best. Chicken parmigiana. The cauliflower was cold. The carrots were lukewarm but tasty. Spuds were great. Schnitzel was large enough. Chicken was nicely cooked. Tomato sauce was good. Ham was from the supermarket. Cheese was plentiful but I think was Tasty. Definitely not mozzarella. $20 member’s price was excellent value. But the meal could have been better. The complex itself is wonderful, hence the four stars overall. Lots of screens in the sports bar. Decent variety of beers on tap. Poker on a Thursday night at 7PM. One year membership is $11.65 which gives you discounts on the food and drink. Every staff member I encountered was wonderful. Happy, glad to be of service. Should be more of it.

After having success with other ‘Workers Clubs’ around the state it was time to try Mildura and wow, what a crowd for Sunday night. There were at least 3 big birthday tables and plenty of kids in the Family Bistro with a playground outside which was brilliant. I ordered my go to beef burger and it was packed with fresh ingredients and included crispy bacon, an egg and onion rings. I found the joining fee a bit more than the other clubs at $11 but it was well worth it for the savings. Cold beer and a great meal many thanks I will be back for sure. The Sports Bar area looked modern and also a great place to eat your meal. Big thumbs up!
