This cottage and hall simply have to be seen to be believed! Langtree Hall was Mildura's first public hall - built in 1889. The fascinating story about how the hall was moved to the backyard on this site adds to the delight and intrigue of the entire experience. Our host Barbie was very generous with her time and extremely knowledgeable. She has effectively made sure the the rich history of this hall and its importance to Mildura lives on! While the current hall is slightly smaller than the original size, history has been well and truly preserved. The extensive collection of vintage and antique items in all rooms truly makes this a museum to put on your sightseeing list! Congratulations to the Cornell family (and Barbie in particular) for caring enough to preserve what is an important story in the region's history. Here are some photos of the house and hall...

Interesting place located in what used to be a private home. You need to book as it is by appointment, there is a “closed” sign on the door when it’s actually open which is a bit confusing 😀. Five dollar donation which I thought...
