A meal at Junction Moama is always something special, and this visit was no exception. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was packed with flavour, texture, and balance.
We started with: ✨ Burrata with fig jam & salsa verde – Creamy, rich, and perfectly complemented by the sweet and herby elements. 🐙 Fremantle octopus with vindaloo – A bold, spicy take on octopus that worked beautifully. Tender, smoky, and full of depth.
For mains: 🍝 Squid ink tagliatelle, Skull Island prawn, smoked tomato & nduja – A stunning seafood pasta with the perfect hit of spice and umami. 🐖 Ryukyu Berkshire pork belly, witlof, anise carrot, granny smith & vermouth – An incredible combination of textures and flavours, with the apple bringing just the right amount of freshness.
We ended on a sweet note with a tiramisu and paired everything with a local Balgownie Estate Bendigo sparkling Shiraz—a perfect match for the richness of our meal.
✨ The Venue: Always gorgeous. A spot we keep coming back to whenever we’re in Echuca. 🤨 The Service: A letdown this time. The staff member serving us was a bit pushy and made an unnecessary comment about the steak price (never a good look). A little spill of wine on the table was also left unattended.
🔹 Food: 5/5 – Absolute perfection. 🔹 Service: 3/5 – Room for improvement.
Would we return? 100%—for the food alone. Junction consistently delivers when it...
Read moreFirst time the better half and I have been to the Junction. We booked for one of their special nights. These special nights, the masterclass nights, give local producers an opportunity to provide their products to the chef at the Junction. This night was the lads from Pacdon Park, and It was the 'Nose to Tail' night. An absolute cracker of a night. The boys produce could not have been done any better than what we were served up. 6 great courses. Compliments to the chef. The staff are amazing, service was excellent. We will be back to try something off the seasonal menu. Will also be keeping an eye out for more masterclass class nights. I hope Jim and Pete will be asked back. I'll put my hand up to be there again. 10/10 Time to add to this review I think. We have been to more masterclasses, Thursday steak night and have had many a Junction Experience. We have never been disappointed in anything. From the fantastic food to the service. Our usual group (4) had to try the 'Regions Finest - Castlemaine' night. Chef Cam and long time friend Rory produced an absolute stunning menu. Everything course was sensational. Honestly, I still can't pick a favourite. Hat's off to you guy's, we love your work. Still 10/10 and to those who I have recommended you to, have eaten there, all said, 'the best food in...
Read moreTo say I was blown away with the food, staff and atmosphere with the junction is an absolute understatement.
After being recommended by a family member of the quality of the food. I had to see this as an experience and check to see what the vibe was like.
Immediately upon entering the Junction. The staff were more than accommodating, with Thomas commencing the service and Alexi, Dani and Noah continuing the amazing experience that simply shows the reason why the junction has one of the best reputations in the area!
The beverages and food complimented this amazing experience. With this having to be some of the best quality meats, cheeses and pastas I’ve encountered despite trying an abundance on the busy lygon street. The gnocchi and tortellini and the famous burrata have definitely led me to want to attend for seconds and thirds!
Being from Melbourne here but having family in the area, I will be recommending this to anyone who wants to try different things and be supported with the most immersive and positive dining experience. You’ve definitely got a returning customer here!!
Thankyou so much The Junction Moama for providing such a fine quality...
