Fast service and lovely atmosphere, a little pricey but almost worth it if not for 2 small issues. Ordered the eggs Benedict, overall was pretty good but the eggs were overcooked. As far as I'm aware most people prefer their poached eggs to still have a runny yolk, however these were a solid-jammy consistency instead. Also the server that brought over our coffee answered the work phone as she picked it up from the counter and continued the call while serving, not the best etiquette, however they did seem slightly understaffed so I can't fault that too much.
Personally I would also pick a different playlist for so early in the day, while I am young and like "club" music it's not exactly appropriate for a breakfast atmosphere. Save the "Freaky Girl" by Nicki Minaj and other EDM tracks for the evenings lol
I think most of these issues can just be attributed to the new menu, would come back to see if improvements are made but if nothing changes there's definitely better breakfast venues close by.
Edit: have since returned, food quality issues have been fixed. However people who ordered the same things as me after me were served half an hour before I was, and my partner's coffee took over an hour to come out causing us to leave before receiving it. Will not...
Read moreUsually this cafe is good by Morisset standards but had a couple of bad experiences lately. An Iced Mocha usually an Iced Coffee with chocolate syrup but todays example was a basic glass with too much ice, next to no chocolate flavour and no ice cream etc… not sure why they charge extra for that. I get some places don’t have a topping of ice cream but there is no pictures. The attitude of the initial staff was pretty poor and dismissed me by saying that’s just how ours are made… By the time a manager came over I just wasn’t interested in her remaking it and giving me a version that wouldn’t be their usual anyway. There wasn’t much left in the cake display and the coffee wasn’t that good either. Just frustrating that cafe quality and service has gone down whilst prices go up… charge me what good service and food is worth. I’d rather pay the right price for quality and service otherwise just not bother at all… my experience about poor service seems to be occasional at this place. It costs nothing to be friendly. It’s not that hard… if you don’t like customers maybe don’t be in...
Read morePrevious positive review has now been downgraded. When we have been there for breakfast is was good prompt servings at reasonable prices. Can be a bit noisy inside but acceptable due to acoustics. Plenty of tables and friendly staff. The wife was happy with her grilled chicken burger but my Charlie Burger had some cold onion and the fillet steak was dry and gristly. One small dish we ordered was not available as they had run out, however we were not offered a refund or a substitute - the value was not much; but it was the principle that matters in We tried lunch again today which was good for the food and service, but the coffee was again luke warm at best. I've had hotter showers. Don' t know why their barista keeps serving luke warm coffee when coffee is best served at 60C. Will not...
