Nic's Cafe and Catering — Restaurant in Mount Barker

Dropped in for lunch on our way to Albany today, we ordered chicken carbonara and salmon avocado sandwich. The kids had their usual chicken nuggets and chips. The sweat potato wedges were crispy on the outside and probably our favourite of all. The carbonara sauce was a little too thick for my liking but taste was well balanced and really good. I'm a local and this Nic's is my regular haunt for delicious food & good service. As a mum with a FIFO partner, it's a huge relief to have somewhere close that serves yummy, wholesome food at affordable prices. The Breakki Wrap, Pumpkin Risotto (with chicken & cream) and Chicken Korma are favourites for us. There are always a fresh array of homemade cakes including gf options.

Went to Nic's for lunch on the 30th Dec, the steak burger 🍔 was great but the grilled fish was covered in pepper, they don't tell you that. Barramundi and chips had bones so it wasn't filleted properly, plus it tasted earthy, but my brother explained why, the seafood plater was not very nice either. So 1 out of 4 meals was great.
