Dropped in for dinner based on the reviews. I found the atmosphere nice, the service was good, the guy who took our order was efficient. When our meals came, they looked appealing and presented well. I had the Massaman beef curry that look good, the portion size serve was quite adequate, and the sauce was lovely. Unfortunately, from there it was all downhill, the beef was very grislily, tough and defiantly not falling apart. I had to get a knife to cut it up, and removing lumps of grisaille from my mouth and returning to the plate was not a good look. It was a very poor cut of meat. If I was in Mt Gambier, I would go again, just wouldn’t order this dish again.

Delicious food, priced accordingly, the service was friendly, and food was served at in a reasonable amount of time…considering it was a full house (Tuesday night). The dishes we ordered, and recommend are: The Beef Massaman Curry, super delicious, meat was tender, either rich but not overpowering flavours, The Chicken Pad Thai & Pad Char Seafood Stir-fry, which were both equally as delicious 🤤 We will definitely be recommending & returning next time we visit Mt Gambier! A hidden gem for anyone looking for a tasty Thai feast! Thank you 🙏🥰 #nomnom #thaifood #mtgambier #southaustralia

Nice service, very kind waiter. I order a red Thai curry doesnt come with rice it cost $23 + $4for the rice which I don't mine, but what they gave me is a container full of veggies and 6 pieces of beef.Tastes ok not spicy at all which they stated spicy on the menu, eat able but not the best I had.$23 I expect a little bit more meat in there or a good favor. If you want to try you can give it a go but don't expect too much. But I don't think I will go again.

My husband and I ate our way through Eastern and South Eastern Australia over a month's time and ate at many restaurants, cafes and Asian eateries. Our stop in Mt. Gambier to see the crater lakes and sinkholes was a good stopping point between the Barossa Valley and the Coonawarra wine region as well as the Great Ocean Road heading toward Melbourne. On our first night in Mt. G, we were ready for a simple and easy dinner after a long day of driving. This large town doesn't have a lot of restaurant choices (and be mindful most close by 7:00 pm), but Wild Ginger had some positive reviews and stayed open a little later. We made the right choice... the food was some of the best Thai we've ever eaten. The Pad Thai and Thom Ka soup were both savory, flavorful, and authentic. I will dream forever about the soup! Go if you can. The staff is very gracious and kind. The atmosphere is better than most you will find in Mt. G. I recommend dining in, although they do offer take away. It was an all around good experience. We also brought our own wine from the Barossa, so they...

Im not a person who writes review, but this one waitress’ attitude was really bad and I cannot ignore it.

There was a waitress, who seems like Thai, with very rude and arrogant attitude while serving us. They served the wrong food and told us their policy is that we still have to pay for the food once its made even though it is their fault. She said ‘im thai and i know that Pad See Ew is originally thin rice vermicelli noodles’ very loudly and rudely. I googled and it seems that it should be flat rice noodles originally. She said ‘you should have asked if you wanted flat rice noodles, its not our problem, Im just trying to protect my staff’, and rudely walked away.

I myself worked as a Thai restaurant waitress before for few years and i dont appreciate being treated this way at all. It would be nice if they let her know to be polite and speak nicely.

All in all, all is fine, just that one waitress who was extremely rude who made our...

I had a terrible experience at this place. I was racially profiled and harassed one evening while I was out for dinner with friends. I was the first of my friends to arrive. I walked into the restaurant and a staff member quickly walked to meet me at the door and anxiously asked what I was doing there. This is a restaurant. One would assume that anyone who walks into it was there to buy food. I explained that I was there to meet friends for dinner. He demanded that I stand at the door while he goes back to the counter at the back of the restaurant to confirm a reservation under my friend’s name. While this interaction was going on, another patron walked past me to be met at the counter and served. One of my Caucasian colleagues arrived and waited with me. I pointed out to the employee that she was one of the people I was meeting for dinner. He directed apologies to her saying that the restaurant was fully and they could not...
