Red Rooster Mt Gambier — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

It was late night last week trying to decide what to eat so ended up choosing Red Rooster and immediately regretted that decision as a first timer.

First of all, I ordered a spicy box but was given a non spicy chicken in the meal when specifically requested a spicy chicken and was charged around $2 extra for idk what when the meal is supposed to be $13.95

Also ordered a six piece fried chicken, all the pieces were chicken breast when it was supposed to be variety, plus none of the chicken was fresh at all and really oily, seemed like it was bottom of the batch that was sitting there probably from the morning and collecting oil drips. Which also gave us both really bad stomach ache straight after for the whole night. Word of advice for the manager is to please maintain your store and food properly and throw away the old food before you seriously food poison someone and face a law suit.

The person that was serving had the worst customer service attitude, literally seemed like she either hates her job or people.

That first Red Rooster visit may as well be the last visit. Thanks but...

The carpark has a more than sufficient amount of space for easy parking, and being just off the highway makes it a quick stop. There's no outside garden or shrubbery, only some brick pavement really that could hold something else like a statue or a plant for aesthetic pleasure; but the bricks are the nice kind of bricks, so it's not too bad. The staff that served me was quick, straightforward and to the point. What I liked best about my visit though is the fact that I got table service with my meal ready in only maybe 2 minutes; so it actually was, 'fast food'. The food was exceptionally nice, and it was nice to have fast food that wasn't greasy. The store was in immaculate condition and I'd say the only way that they can improve is with a nicer exterior...

Omg the food was amazing not greasy and the crumbs was so crunchy .im a travelling nurse and the mout gambier red roster needs and award for the best clean looking ,smelling and tasting meals, it was like home cooking , it fact I got another lot of pinapple fritters for my lunch the next day . P.s the staff also was fantastic and friendly, although they forgot their Bosses birthday lol. I was listening into their conversation , they were all very remorsefully that they had forgotten. LOL, but it was loverly to hear how much they liked their boss behind his back lol it made me smile . Xx Keep up the great job guys and ill see you...
