Just recently we were on holiday at The Tweed. We thought that the Club Tweed might be an enjoyable place to spend the evening. How wrong we were!! Club management needs to have another think about how inviting they make their club to visitors. We didn’t bother going through the door. The law states that guests have to present photo ID in order that our identity is verified and it is established that we live more than 5 kms away. This could be done by one of the staff members at the entry looking at my driver’s license, confirm that my photo is correct and check that I live the required distance from the club. This is not what happened. The law does not state that my Driver’s license be slotted into a machine where all my data is harvested and retained for I don’t know how long and then to add insult to injury I was then going to be required to add my phone number. What on earth for? I was coming in for a meal not visiting an inmate in prison. Having just recently been caught up in the Optus hack and having to replace my license there was little chance I was going to risk that again. If management is going to continue with this policy they are going to need to retrain the staff at the entry point. The manner of the gentleman we encountered was more attune to a rowdy nightclub at 3:00 a.m. I won’t be...
Read moreI made a booking for dinner at 6pm friday night. We scaned in and were met by a elderly lady who meets and greets and seats once in the club. The place only had 3 tables of people there. We where told you have to book for dinner I said yes we have booked already. She then took us to the other side if the restaurant and put us up against a wall in the courner, when there were plenty of seats for 2 next to the windows. We felt like she was trying to hide us. We were dressed up, so i couldn't see a problem with our clothes. The girls that served us were lovely and helpful. The food well it was as if most of it came out of the freezer from the supermarket. The garlic bread was very nice. The hot chips were very nice also. Everything else was just mediocre. But the price was way up there. We could have had fish & chips down the road, which would have tasted better & cost less. Dont get me wrong, im happy to pay high prices for food if its worth paying for. I probably wont go back, as there are better restaurants...
Read moreThe food and restaurant staff were lovely and accommodating- On the other hand the bar staff - lady with straight blond hair working at the bar near the pokies, was absolutely rude- we ordered jugs of lemon lime bitters no ice, and she had started to make the jugs up and added ice in them- I stated I paid and ordered the jugs with no ice and she stared at me and proceeded to say, ‘’well I can throw the ice out but your going to loose your bitters’’ and just stares at me! ! absolutely rude considering it wasn’t my mistake, and not what I ordered, she only had to add more bitters in which she didn’t when she did throw the ice out- !! Then asks do I want lemon and lime slices.. well obviously if I’m ordering lemon lime bitters- Overall her attitude and service was extremely poor and absolutely rude- not happy at all. Was also the worse mix of lemon lime bitters I’ve ever had, might as well just...
