Diminos franchise owner Jagpreet actually lied to me tonight when he brought me a home delivery order that was incorrect. Basically a pizza base that should've been classic, was disappointly delivered on a gluten free base. *sigh.
Jagpreet claimed he was "just the delivery guy" and didn't know anything about how or by whom the pizzas were made. He also gave the full sob story about how if I didn't pay him the full amount that Dominos would dock his pay. I felted guilted into paying for a Pizza that no one would enjoy eating.
Jagpreet offered zero recourse for the mistake. He even commented that he was very familiar with our home delivery address...I imagine he would be since we've ordered from Kincumber Dominos at least weekly for over 12mths.
Jagpreet handled the complaint with a subtly smug and smart alec demeanour, which surprised me for a pizza delivery driver. However his attitude made sense once I called the Kincumber Dominos store and the female Manager (who was more reasonable than Jagpreet) revealed he was actually the store owner!
The incorrect order may well have been the fault of a glitch in the online ordering site and not the fault of Jagpreet's Kincumber Dominos store. However as a business owner that cares about his customers, he could have easily dealt with the situation in an honest way that kept us satisfied and coming back. Instead Jagpreet chose to hide behind the façade of being a "mere" delivery driver, whilst giving attitude without fear of repercussion.
The bad news is in the end my hungry flatmate suffered through a gluten free pizza base, no easy task for someone who's a deep pan lover. The good news is I can rest easy tonight knowing a humble delivery driver wont be bullied into paying for other's mistakes out of his own meagre pay check by a greedy...
Read moreSo here I am at 10:49pm on a Sunday night in Kincumber.. I think a story is required. Now im not from here, Im house sitting for the brother in law. Though I admit Domino's wasn't the first choice (didn't know it was here) I had planned on grabbing something from the 24 hour Mcds on my way back to the pad after work.
Pulled in to Mcds and my heart sinks when the first thing I see is witches hats blocking the drive thru aaggh...24hrs... i think not today 😔 so what's a guy gonna eat this late in Kini you might ask..?
I pull round to my left and there's a glimmer of red and blue lights in the distance.. yes, its Domino's.. and I see a guy (who will remain nameless so he doesnt get embarrassed) chucking out some rubbish about to go home..
Anyway Jackson I believe his name was, says sorry bro we closed at 10 but I quickly plead my Mcds case from the window of my car... he sees the desperation in my eyes... and says hold up.
He goes inside, creates me a mix box of magical goodies.. runs em thru the oven and wamo.. this guys goin home a happy man with a belly full!
Few people go the extra mile these days, for others, like Jackson, I reckon it runs in their...
Read moreI live 5 minutes from the store and delivery took 40 mins longer than an already 25 minute estimated delivery time for a small order. When I called to check where the order was, the staff put me on hold for 5 mins and said the driver is leaving now... clearly had forgot my order and did not acknowledge this and were not nice or helpful about the situation. Even after they told me the driver had just left it still took 3 times longer than it should have if they left when they said they did... dishonest, unhelpful and unprofessional. There are many other pizza places within 10 mins of this store and i strongly recommend going to one of these other stores!! Also after he told me he would tell the driver to refund me the driver turned up not knowing anything about it so i then had to wait 10 mins for them to call the boss to sort out the refund. Extremely rude. The kicker is when the pizzas arrived they were the wrong ones. What a...
