I was hoping that this place would at least do decent coffee as not many places actually do batch brew coffee. They use the same blend for both espresso and batch. Was hoping they would have had some single origin offerings. I am sure it will work fine in your lattes with syrups. The ice chocolate my partner got was in a cool see through can though. Tasted pretty ordinary but it was a unique novelty. All the food sounded nice, but it is all pre-made toasties and burritos that they just whack under the grill to toast. It was hot and was made quickly. The breakfast burrito had unusual flavour and texture and weird pockets of saltiness. My partner had the devils in the bechamel. Lordy the devil certainly made this one. Ham with bechamel sauce and a homemade tomato relish. Overall it was very salty, the bechamel sauce had a weird tasting herb in it, it tasted like tarragon. The relish tasted like it was made with under ripe tomatoes that were flavour less and slightly vegetal. If only everything tasted as good as it looked. Very...

I am at Gregg’s now and ordered their pumpkin soup for $10.90 sit in and a flat white. Flat white cane in sit in cup and $10.90 soup in a takeaway coffee cup but this was not written and I expected a bowl of soup. The horror! The rip off for a cup of soup! I usually get a toastie and it is priced ok but soup!! Do not order soup unless you want to be ripped off. Cardboard cup… seriously team. Got to do better. I can’t upload a pic but think of a medium coffee cup so my expensive small soup tastes like cardboard and eat in!!

Kudos! I asked for a real bowl and to heat it as it arrived cold and the staff offered a bowl. Was it so hard to start? Sadly tasteless and asked for salt and pepper. Staff told me since Covid everything in takeaway now. I have no mind reading skulls and a recent partial local so not to know. Toasties take away for me. Covid over so why use as excuse for not wanting wash up?

Most cafes are back to sit down service WITH proper real...

While staying in Cessnock recently, we decided to give Greg’s Espresso Bar a try, especially when we saw the queue waiting on the street - always a good sign! I ordered the pesto chicken toasted sandwich and didn’t regret it. The pesto was rich and flavourful without being overpowering, the poached chicken was beautifully tender and the bread was toasted to perfection. My husband had the Greggy roll and thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved this breakfast so much we went again the next morning. I had the same delicious sandwich, while my husband opted for the breakfast burrito this time. Again, he highly recommended it. He also loved the coffee. Would come back here frequently if we...

A great and quiet cafƩ with beautiful and great tasting coffee. Though on a main thoroughfare and close to the Hunter Valley, I was pleased by the reasonable prices and the pretty and great tasting coffees my lady and I enjoyed. The customer service of a young girl was welcomed and when the barister (who I can only assume was "Greg") meal checked our coffees I was impressed by this level of consideration and concern displayed. If I lived closer i'd come again and recommend for anyone looking for quality when leaving or arriving to the hunter valley wine region.
