Grill’d is my current favourite fast food eatery, so I would have given them a 5 star review however I was bitterly disappointed today. I was excited to be having my favourite burger for lunch today so I ordered my takeaway meal, asked how long it would take. The staff member advised it would be 20 minutes because they were “getting busy”, rather than sit down for 20 minutes I decided to go for a walk. I returned after 10 minutes. I was going to let them know that I’d returned however there was a queue of people continuing to order. I didn’t want to interrupt so I sat down to wait thinking that they’d be calling my name out when ready.
After waiting for 30 minutes and having ordered 40 minutes ago I was getting restless because I didn’t have much time left of my lunch break.
As I got up, one of the staff was coming out, I asked her if she could please find out when my lunch would be ready. She went yo check and found my lunch just sitting in a bag- handed it to me and advised that they’d called my name when it was ready and that it had been prepared quickly.
Well, why would you tell me 20 minutes and have it ready in 10 minutes? AND, if no one responded why would you not call out again at 5 minute intervals? AND why don’t the staff taking the orders take ownership of the takeaway and look out/recognise the customers?
I sat in front of the order counter for 30 minutes.
Well, this is what hospitality has been reduced to when you employ young kids and not train them to be switched on.
Sorry Grill’d - I went back to work and had 5 minutes to eat my cold burger and chips. Was extremely...
Read moreWe had booked online for a local business xmas get together. I got there 10 mins earlier to check the table and to decorate with some small xmas decorations to find and be told that the reserved tables had people sitting at them . I asked for different tables which need to be pushed together to accommodate the group as they clearly didn't care. There were so many other tables that the customers could have sat at other than the ones that already had reserved signed on them!! The staff member wiped one able and then walked away I then asked him if they were ready and he said yes so I pushed them together myself, I then went and got the reserved signs off the other tables myself and left there to come back in 5 mins. There was no offer or help from the staff and no communication and I DID THEIR JOB it was atrocious and then the prices were very high for the quality of the food. When we ordered we also advised that we still had 2 others coming so we will wait for them but they bought the food out already so we had to start without the others. I...

I visited Grill’d at Tweed City today and, unfortunately, the overall experience was barely passable. Upon arrival we were seated at a table that was sticky and littered with napkins on the floor. Plates from previous diners were still piled nearby, and the floors clearly hadn’t been swept.
Despite there being plenty of staff on the floor, no one greeted us or took the initiative to clean our table. When we placed our order, a team member even promised to tidy up our spot—but that never happened. To make matters worse, the music was turned up so loud that conversation was a struggle.
I love the concept and menu at Grill’d, but poor presentation and inattentive service overshadowed the food today. Management needs to step up the floor upkeep, enforce basic greeting protocols, and turn down the music to a reasonable level. With a little attention to cleanliness and customer care, this location could easily improve—right now, it’s simply not meeting the standard I’ve come to expect...
