Sway Thai Fusion and Bar Review
Atmosphere: We sat outside, and it was cozy and private, which we loved! The seating area is cleverly designed so you can’t see the main road, creating a peaceful escape. With red seating, fair lighting around fake bushes and leaves, and elephant artwork on the walls, it gave off a charming, garden like vibe that was perfect for a date night. The candlelit table with fake roses added a sweet touch. The only small drawback was the occasional noise from cars revving nearby as near a main road with traffic lights
Service: The service was excellent! Our server kindly lit our candle and was prompt and attentive throughout the evening. She even suggested stirring the Thai iced coffee for the best taste. Our entrees arrived quickly, Thai prawn crackers with satay sauce and triangle puffs. The prawn crackers paired with satay sauce are a must try for anyone looking for a delicious starter. The puffs were filled with a unique blend of pumpkin and potato, which was a nice twist on the usual curry puff.
Food: The main dishes came out just a few minutes after our entrees, and they didn’t disappoint. We ordered the Massaman beef curry (hot), spare ribs, and pineapple fried rice. The presentation was an easy 5/5—each dish looked as good as it tasted! The Massaman curry had an amazing depth of flavour with bay leaves, sweet potato, rosemary, and a decent amount of heat from chili oils. The pineapple fried rice was perfectly textured and not greasy at all. Pairing a hot dish with the Thai iced coffee was a great way to refresh the palate between bites.
As a couple from Melbourne, this place was absolutely worth checking out. The food was flavourful, and the owner was so welcoming, even asking for our feedback in real time and talking to us about our travels from Melbourne to Goldy. We suggested that the beef curry could be a little spicier for that perfect kick, and she was happy to take it on board and suggested we order extra extra hot next time!
Highly recommend Sway Thai Fusion and Bar for anyone in the area!

Read moreOrdered take away in store, while ordering the boy on the front desk answered 2 phone calls and proceeded to take their full order and send them to the kitchen, making me stand there mid order and restart ordering twice. While ordering I asked if the dish came with chicken which he said it did. Once I paid I realised he’d charged me $21.50 instead of $16. When I asked, he replied that it’s an extra $5 for chicken. A little upset I asked why he told me it was already in the dish and that I wouldn’t have got the chicken if I knew it wasn’t already in the dish/ cost more, to which he just kind of smirked/ awkwardly giggled then ignored me and proceeded to take the 3rd phone call.
In addition I hit my head on their counter and was bleeding during this...
Read moreTwo words...Uber Eats! Went there with 5 other diners excited for a great thai meal. Terrible service, rude and uninterested staff and never even got to sample the food after waiting for a ridiculous amount of time while Uber Eays orders were pumped out. I had heard good things about this place, however it seems the focus of pleasing dining customers with delicious food has changed to getting quick food out to Uber Eats customers and therefore forgetting the paying patrons in the actual restaurant. Very disappointing trip to this place. Difficult to recommend until they wake up and decide to treat the dining patrons better and employ some staff who actually have some affinity for the restaurant and care about providing a good service and caring about...
