Updated Review – Dinner Experience I really wanted to give this place another chance for dinner instead, after two disappointing breakfast visits, but sadly, dinner was no better. We arrived at 5:30pm, ordered promptly, and still received our food at 6:30pm; while several other tables who arrived after us were served before. It’s frustrating to feel overlooked, especially when we were clearly waiting. It left us wondering whether our order was delayed because we ordered drinks; perhaps in hopes we’d keep spending while we waited? Either way, this is not acceptable service. To add to the frustration, staff then expected us to vacate our table at 7:15pm, despite the delay in receiving our meal. That’s simply unreasonable.

Breakfast Review (from earlier visits) We’ve visited twice for breakfast, and both times were equally disappointing. We watched muffins being brought out to other tables while ours never came. On the first occasion, they arrived so late we had to take them to go. The second time, they never came at all, and we had to request a refund. We were told they’d be brought out, but it didn’t happen. Every customer deserves to be served in the order they arrive; anything less is unfair and frustrating.

It’s disappointing to feel that fair service isn’t a priority here. Unfortunately, after three poor experiences, we won’t be...

Lagune artisan pizza is a small Italian pizza restaurant in terrigal. It’s not located in a prominent spot and you’ll never notice it if you drive past. The restaurant is small which can accommodate for max 25 people internally, with a very cramped internal layout with one side of tables and the other half being the kitchen/ wood fire oven.

The service is quick on drinks but slow on food. The menu has a lot to offer such as antipasti (appetizer), insalate (salads), pizze rosse (thin pizza topped with tomato sauce), pizze bianche (pizza made without tomato sauce and topped with white cheese), calzone (pizza folded in half with filling), kid’s pizza, dolci (sweets), cold drinks, beers, red/ white wines, rose and sparkling alcoholic drinks.

Even though the wait time took a while, the food is quite impressive and delicious. Both pizza and pasta dishes are quite big for a reasonable price. In larger groups, you’ll need a few pizzas, few pastas and some antipasti dishes to share.

Besides from the long serving time, Lagune put in the time and effort to serve up a great dish and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a must visit while...

We dined at Lagune last night. After hearing great reviews and knowing they have a delicious Nutella pizza that’s where I chose for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. We ordered 2 boscaiola‘s which were very bland so we were waiting for waiter to come back out so we could ask for Parmesan as it was never offered, the staff never returned so I had to go in and ask for it. The pizza was also quite bland, we ordered the Fungi Pizza. The arancini was good but that was about it. When it came time for dessert, a few of us wanted the special only to be told when we ordered it that they didn’t have any left so of course we then opted for the Nutella Pizza to then be told they’ve already turned off the pizza oven so we couldn’t have that either, one of the girls also wanted to order a coffee but the coffee machine had also been turned off. I was highly annoyed and frustrated that the staff never thought to ask us about dessert or coffee before turning everything off. I will not return to Lagune nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Really...

Its a place for a quick meal as each booking is for 75min slot. Its a limited menu but covers most appetites. The arancini balls were tasty but a small serving for $18. The pizza looked nice but the dough was not crunchy. It was chewy/rubbery and very soggy in the middle. The toppings were not spread to the edges with a lot of cheese in the middle. The rocket and pear salad was good but needed some crunch (possibly pine nuts) to improve it. At $18 its a pricey bowl of rocket with maybe half a pear. The pale ale on tap (7th Day Brewery) was way to tangy and not to my liking. Dessert range is very limited so we decided to get that elsewhere. Also, I didnt see an expresso machine? Service wad friendly, but our salad was sent to the another table and we'd eaten half our meal before it was prepared. Table water was room temp and glasses warm. Overall, it was ok but nothing special.

Absolutely delicious! First time trying the pizzas at Lagune last night and we loved it! The base dough was exceptional in flavour and texture taking me back to pizzas in Rome! The mix of flavours were perfectly balanced and the pizza Chef Johnny was very friendly and helpful with his suggestions! We tried the molte carne and fungi If you're looking for exceptional quality pizza on the coast I highly recommend trying Lagune! We will definitely be back to try more! 5 stars all the way! 👌

Definitely the best place for pizza in the area! Visited on a Saturday night, the restaurant had very good atmosphere for dine-in with super friendly staff. Had the Molto di Carne and the Funghi pizza, absolutely amazing with high quality ingredients - comes in a good portion size too. Highly recommended when in the area, looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!
