To start, the venue is extremely well positioned, with sufficient street-parking on a moderately trafficked stretch of road. This is due to the restaurants situation away from the hustle n' bustle of central Terrigal. This is great as it allows you to avoid the infamous 'Terrigal traffic', whilst leaving central Terrigal just a short walk away, should you so desire to visit.
Once inside the venue itself, the ambience is simply beautiful. Lovely music greatly adds to the charming atmosphere of the venue. Tasteful decor is positioned nicely around the spacious restaurant with entrancing aromas drifting gracefully from the kitchen. The colmbination of these factors prime you to fully appreciate your meal and makes it seem as if the doorway into the venue is a portal to a separate dimension.
Servers attend to your table minimally, most commonly to take orders, provide your meal or remove dishes. However, unlike most restaurants this is a positive quality as it helps minimise distractions. Assisting in your full appreciation of the flavours. However, should the attention of a server be required, they are almost constantly available. Gaining their attention is a simple task, should you ask politely you they will be more than willing to attend to your requests. The owner, Raj, is simply amazing. When he is present, he moves about the restaurant table-to-table, checking to see if the diners’ experiences can be further improved. It's almost as if his radiating charisma improves the flavour of the food, should that even be possible.
The food provided by this venue is honestly inconceivable. A multiplicity of Indian cuisine is placed your very fingertips. This is, perhaps, the most brief aspect of my review as I believe it to be a crime to reduce to the euphoric flavours to mere words. The only concept more unimaginable than the flavours of the cuisine, is the price. This dining experience costs a mere FRACTION of the price of any experience that may begin to compare.
To summarise, the restaurant is very well situated, being positioned away from traffic and with sufficient parking. The Feng Shui of the restaurant engulfs you in the experience of Indian cuisine, providing you with the opportunity to fully enjoy your meal. Cuisine tastes as if a piece of India, taken and prepared purely for your enjoyment and for just a fraction of any comparable experience. Rajdhani Indian Restuarant Terrigal is undoubtedly the best Indian dining experience available in NSW, if...
Read moreWarning: DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE!!!. I usually never get delivery when ordering takeaway. But as I was unwell, I had to on this occasion. Called up at 4.56pm, had to call a few times as line busy. Got through at 4.57pm and placed order. Was told that delivery didn’t start until 5.30pm. No problem, that’s okay. Tried calling again a few times at 6.29pm, to find out how long. 6.30pm, I got through and was told it would be twenty minutes, as they were very busy. Okay no problem. Called up again at 7.11pm, put on hold then hung up on. Called back at 7.12pm, again asked how long, was asked to hold on for a minute. I could hear the girl talking and cooking noises, after about 8minutes hanging on open line, I jumped in the car and drove to the restaurant, still on open line. Arrived at restaurant, where I saw the girl, hang up the phone on the counter. I asked where the order was and told it was on its way to my home. She stated they were very busy again, but there was NO ONE in the restaurant at all. Went back home-prawn Al’ Kashmiri was watery, not how I have had before from this restaurant. Nil fruit or flavour (other than a slight curry flavour). The butter chicken was nice, but not the same thick, flavoursome food from when they were at old location. Has this restaurant changed hands??. Will not be going there, or ordering take away again. Food has...
Read moreWe came across this Indian restaurant by chance as we were actually thinking of going to the French restaurant close by but on the last minute we decided to look for something else and we noticed this venue and checked the rating and it was quite high so we decided to give a try.
YES! that's what came to my mind the minute the food came in. We had couple of dishes and they were great in both presentation and taste.
We ordered the samosa as a starter and the mango chicken and chicken biryani for mains.
Everything was just amazing. No wonder this place has such a great rating. I've noticed tho that most people order take away or delivery as we were the only ones dining in but that didnt stop of from doing that.
The venue is not bad but its not really fancy but hey we were there for the food and not the decoration but again the place wasn't bad as you can see in the photos.
The staff were very accommodating and very friendly and the food was definitely worth the money.
Owh and we also ordered the garlic naan which was...
