Red Rooster Queanbeyan — Restaurant in New South Wales

My first time experience ordering from drive through was very worst, they kept me waiting for more than half an hour. I went inside and asked counter lady, she told me to wait another 5-10 mins. Ok! I went back in the car in waiting pot. Still not coming to deliver. Went back again asked same lady and then she was taking to guy inside the kitchen in Hindi dialogue “he asking why his order is not ready yet”. That came outside the kitchen in attitude. I explained I have ordered from drive thru so I get faster. That Indian guy said I refund if I can wait another 3 mins in loud with attitude.

This employees ( women in the counter and guy in kitchen) are communicating in Hindi which was not good. FYI. I speak Hindi too. I have leave in New Delhi for my studies.

Their manner as customer service is horrible, unacceptable. Not at all qualified to work in customer service in Australia. I have never experienced or encountered such disgusting service until today. I regret visiting Red Rooster...

Decided to try the local Red Rooster and what a disappointment. I went tonight (a Friday night), granted it was peak time and I expected it to be busy. Once I placed my order, I was concerned when I heard more than one patron stating they had been there over 40 minutes. Then after some time I heard what I thought was my order (no ticket was given, so couldn’t be sure) I repeated my order the attendant, only to be told, no that was someone else’s order.

I waited at least another 10-15 mins, only to have the same attendant ask me what I had ordered, checked out the lonely bagged order on the counter, who then said this was my order after all.

The chicken was nice considering the extended waiting time, as were the fried pineapple pieces. Unfortunately the 11 French fries, yes 11, were lukewarm warm.

Red Rooster is infinitely better than its Southern Fried competition just down the road. The staff are better presented, more professional, and deliver to your table when your order is ready. A+ marks for cleanliness, which is in contrast to the nearby competition. While the food can only be deemed as "fast food" but they produce a surprising appealing, and fresh product without the excessive oversalted and limp chips that the the nearby competition tends to serve as a standard. Tables and eating area tend to be clean, tidy and pleasant to eat in. The location is convenient and the parking is sufficient and accessible from two seperate entrances/roads. All in all my advice would be to ignore the nearby Southern Fried competition and go here instead for a quick bite or to grab something in the...
