Royal Palace Indian restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

After no greeting and some confusion about my booking, I was told just sit wherever you like and I was left to look over the menu. ( I was alone in the restaurant)

Table water, papadums and mint yogurt were placed on the table while I was still pondering what to order, which was nice.

The food took approximately 20 minutes to come and everything was hot fresh and fairly tasty.

I have been to almost every Indian restaurant on the coast and still have not found any no where as good as the ones in Sydney.. although the food here was very good and there was absolutely no issues with it whatsoever it just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Everything was very reasonably priced and the portion sizes were very good.

The restaurant itself was very barren, the low background modern ethnic music (Bollywood/ rap pop style ) wasn’t too bad and it added a little ambiance to the place.

The Service was happy and friendly but non attentive, considering I was the only person in the restaurant, had to get up twice and yell out towards the kitchen just to get the staffs attention.

I would recommend this restaurant as it was good value and it was decent. I did note masses of take away orders went out. The restaurant was still empty when I left about an hour later.

Today I went to this restaurant and I ordered takeaway from them over the phone. I told them that I am coming from Newcastle and I need my order ready by 6:00 pm, they said the restaurant is busy but we will make it . I also knew that my order will take time as I had to add items in my order. I was outside the restaurant at sharp 6:00 pm and when I went inside the staff talked with me nicely. I asked them is my order ready? then they gave me my order and I swear its smell really good.
