Apr-22: still amazing, the filter coffee is unbelievable, I highly recommend the filter (Columbia Rafael Amaya). Loved the cauliflower and really enjoyed the vegetarian sausage roll. The ham and cheese croissants was baked in the oven, so wasn't "smashed flat".
Went back the next day, cauliflower was even better than the previous day (if that was possible), snagged two pork and fennel sausage rolls and two batch brews. Batch brew a little more acidic and punchy than the previous day.
Went back the following day (this time for breakfast), the batch brew is still really special (we bought a 250g bag to take home), the bacon and egg and the zuchinni and corn feitter rolls are really special. They grill the cheese with the egg, and the egg remains runny and the cheese is crunchy. The tomato salsa has good texture and the milk bun is sweet, fluffy and brings it all together. We both added a hash brown to the rolls. The zuchinni and corn fritter was better than the bacon. Someone else substituted the bacon for the "Bello ham" (Bellingen?) And we should have done that as the ham was amazing.
Apr-21: Amazing coffees and stunning food. The barista quality checks every coffee. The cold brew had low acidity and sourness and maximum taste. I loved my bounty coffee (doppio espresso, coconut milk and chocolate). We shared a pork and fennel (house made) as an entree and both loved the fried polenta - everything is well balanced on the dish. Were looking to come back the next day!
Went back the next day. The special chicken parmigiana is the best I have ever had - it's a thigh part that's marinated and the crumb was fresh, there was prosciutto and salami to top the schnitzel. The salad worked perfectly with the main. The mushroom burger was perfectly cheesy and sublime, I loved every bite, the chips have skin on them and are extra crunchy. Also give the doppio espresso as try, it's...
Read moreStopped here on an east coast roadie. Arrived at 8:10am ordered two coffees and a sandwich. Coffee was fast and pleasant despite the lacklustre service and I was drowning in beautiful morning sun. Little did I know, the nightmare was beginning. By 8:30am there was no movement on the sandwich. At this point that pleasant sun was starting to burn with all the fury of northern Australian January. I waited patiently in the sun due to the lack of shade and began to burn. By 8:37am I was starting to boil over. Being an ex hospo prisoner I didn’t want to upset anyone but as the half hour wait for a takeaway sandwich neared I needed to move this forward, the cafe wasn’t busy and all those that had ordered after me had come and gone, all sandwich less but alas, I could no longer take this god damn sun. I moved to stand within eye shot of the barista, surely she’d see me and reassure me my sandwich was on the way. Nay nay nay this did not happen. This was it. At 8:50am I rejoined the line, I reached the front, my half drunk coffee in hand. The girl behind the window who’d served me at 8:10 looked at me. Looked at the coffee in my hand and ASKED ME WHAT SHE COULD GET FOR ME!!!!!! I need her to know how close she came to me losing my mind because it was close. I was melting in the sun and this was the response I was getting. I remained calm and asked where my sandwich was. It arrived 5mins later, total wait time 45mins. Good but not worth the wait. I’ll forever remember this forever. Not in a nice way but not in a bad way either. I feel similar to watching Ben Stokes at headingley. Startled, angry, in awe. But this time rather than feeling a strong love of sport, I feel a strong sense of hatred for hospitality and the City of Coffs Harbour. Male, Age 27, US 10.5 casual,...
Read moreI didn’t want to write a bad review after seeing the venue’s written responses to other negative google reviews. I’ve never actually shared a review before but I had to after this terrible experience. The food was the most bland and tasteless food I have ever had in Australia. The service was below average, even considering my already low expectations from having to order through an app on the table. I was charged an extra 2 dollars when asking for sauce to add to the meal- which only arrived after I had to chase it up for the second time after being told I hadn’t paid for it even though I 100% had paid for it at the counter- and it too added (surprise) no flavour at all, just some heat from the chilli to make the meal more edible. The coffee was okay (definitely not my first pick of oat milk) but the food, especially the mushrooms (which seemed to somehow be the hero of the menu and would normally be something very hard to get wrong) were terrible. Not sure what you have to do to get upper tier mushrooms to taste so bad but 5 stars to Supply for being able to rob all the flavour from them too. I would’ve brought up my grievances with the staff at the time but the stand-offish nature of the woman at the front counter (whom I assume was managing) made me feel uncomfortable so we just left as quickly as possible. Will not be returning...
