Sushi Chat Cessnock — Restaurant in New South Wales

We recently visited this establishment with my family to enjoy sushi, but unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. There were flies hovering around the sushi rolls, which we immediately brought to the attention of the staff. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, one of the employees dismissively said, 'We'll get that later.' To make matters worse, some of us had already paid, and when we tried to speak with staff, one of them, the same one who dismissed trending to the flies hovering around the open sushi, refused to serve us, rudely speaking in their language leaving us to be attended to by a different employee. We were extremely disappointed with both the lack of attention to hygiene and the unprofessional behavior of the staff. It's unfortunate because we had high hopes for this place, but the service and the way we were treated after raising a genuine concern left us thoroughly disgusted and dissapointed. VERY POOR and did not refund on food missing. I used Doordash and only received half the order ($20 work missing). I contacted them and was informed they did not see the whole order so there must had been a computer issue. Funny how they could now see the whole order and informed they would send the rest out. After an hour of waiting I called again informed that it was a Door dash issue and to contact them. I explained I was at work and only had 30min for lunch so please refund. Told that they couldn't do that and to contact Doordash to see if they would pay me back. I don't understand why Doordash would have the extra $20 I spent on food. So annoyed and now ripped off! Thankful that we found a Japanese place that's already open from 10am in Cessnock. The ?Indian waitress appeared new so was a bit confused that the udon curry comes on its own, while rice curry comes with meat selection such as chicken. She is friendly. The other ?Japanese waitress however just slided the food to our table without smiling (maybe not happy to work on a Saturday). Their stocks are around the dining area, including multiple bags of rice, soy sauce boxes, etc. Overall very filling, delicious and good value $15 each, thank you!
