Thai Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

I’m sad to say this was the worst Thai food I have ever eaten, in fact some of the worst food I have ever eaten out. I was just visiting and love my Thai food. The Chicken main meal I had was thigh meat and I had particularly asked if it was breast meat, the sauce had no flavour at all. I ordered coconut rice and again the worst I have eaten, it had kind of desecrated coconut over the top and the rice was just steamed rice with no flavour. I ordered peanut sauce on the side and that was also a no go, couldn’t even eat it the flavour was so bad.

I also ordered curry puffs and they weren’t made from the beautiful buttery pastry one would normally expect and flavour was too strong in this case and so hot spicy I couldn’t eat them. All in all not a good food experience but the waitress was lovely. Maybe they had a bad chef night I have no idea. If they serve food like this every night they wouldn’t still be open. It was truthfully really bad.

Awesome food. We were 4 adults and 4 kids. Each one of us ordered a different plate of the menue, all the plate were godly satisfying. The jungle curry was rich and full of flavor, the stir fried seafood was spicy yet delightful and very very fresh. The beef paneng was amazingly rich and flavoursome. The coconut rice and the vegteble fried rice was great as a side plate for the the curry dishes. The Pa's sew was honestly as it should and taste great. Even the kids spring rolls and fish cakes tasted very fresh, definitely not the store frozen one. All in all, I definitely recommend...

A pleasant surprise for us on our way through town, stopping over in the motel across the road for one night. We ordered pad thai (tofu), green chicken curry and coconut rice.
