The Courthouse Hotel, Tamworth — Restaurant in New South Wales

I booked in advance, online and by phone. I requested a standard table to accommodate my elderly father. We arrived and were seated in the bar area in high seats. I approached staff and they were attentive to my request to be moved. It went downhill from there after engaging with management. We were then seated at a broken table, near the door (that was open) and it was freezing. Again, I approached the young male in management at the hotel and expressed my dissatisfaction relating to the seating that we were given. My feedback was met with arrogance and complete disregard. The young manager in question clearly has issues with women, in particular, forthright women. He was beyond rude. Hence, after an underwhelming interaction, we vacated the premises. We moved on to The Tamworth Hotel and they were able to accommodate us. At The Tamworth Hotel, we were given a suitable table and they delivered exceptional meals and service. To the management at The Courthouse Hotel. Understand this. Women are fed up with being disrespected and disregarded. My partner & I went to the courthouse for a dinner date on Friday night, I had the cheeseburger with bacon and my partner had the 250g steak medium rare, my burger was oozing fat and the paddy was the consistency of play doh and was definitely not fresh the bacon on the burger looked like it was a day old and hard as a rock, my partners steak was like a sponge and half of the steak was blue (raw), then after that disaster of a dinner we went to the pokie room and 4 minutes later I started to feel sick in the stomach and proceeded to the bathroom where I vomited up the meal, I told bar staff that I needed a water and wanted to speak to a manager when I got to speak to her, she apologised and said it has never happened before, (which I knew was false) knowing from a reliable source, she refunded my meal, then proceeded to say that I must be coming down with the flu, which I was shocked and just wanted to leave, and not bother arguing with her that it was the food I just ate, 15 to 20 minutes later my partner started to not feel well and she began to vomit aswell, 10/10 will not be going back to the courthouse, either till their is a change of kitchen staff...

Good venue, good music but the security staff showed absolutely disgusting and illegal behaviour on Saturday night 18/02/23. I was in an altercation with a horrible male who would not take no for an answer and refused to move away from me after multiple requests. A young white chubby male security guard thought it was then ok to almost tackle me, put his hands on me and then have me removed from the premises. He wasn’t even going to have the problem male removed until I spoke with another security guard. While waiting for my Uber out front of the venue, the problem security guard and problem male were having a good ol’ laugh, which definitely indicates a personal friendship outside of that establishment, FAVOURITISM is not ok in the security industry. I will be looking into taking this matter further as that security guard obviously doesn’t remember what he is legally allowed to do and what he cannot do! Shame on you for hiring a security guard like that.
