A Culinary Delight with Exemplary Service
We recently had the pleasure of hosting a Christmas party for my company, SOLAFT, at The Point Cafe, and I cannot express how impressed I am with every aspect of our dining experience.
Attention to Detail: The restaurant's commitment to detail is truly commendable. From the meticulously set tables to the thoughtfully curated decorations, every corner exuded a festive and welcoming atmosphere. It was evident that the staff spared no effort to create a warm and inviting space for our celebration.
Dietary Requirements: One of the standout features was the exceptional attention given to accommodating various dietary requirements. In a group as diverse as ours, ranging from different dietary preferences to allergies, the staff navigated these nuances seamlessly. Every guest felt seen and catered to, which contributed immensely to the overall enjoyment of the event.
Culinary Marvels: The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a delicious, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors, textures, and a beautiful presentation. It was evident that the chefs took great pride in their craft, and the result was beautiful that left everyone at our party raving.
Service Beyond Expectations: What truly sets The Point Cafe apart is the impeccable service. The staff demonstrated an unparalleled level of professionalism, courtesy, and attentiveness. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring that every moment was seamless and enjoyable.
In conclusion, our experience at The Point Cafe was nothing short of extraordinary. It exceeded expectations in every aspect—attention to detail, dietary accommodation, culinary excellence, and service. I wholeheartedly recommend The Point Cafe for any special occasion or simply for those who appreciate an exceptional dining experience.
Kudos to the entire team at The Point Cafe for making our Christmas celebration...
Read moreFood was great. We had a beef and bacon burger, a Tropical Frappe, and a coffee. The burger was nice quality beef, with good bacon, and nice fresh salad. The Tropic Frappe was nice too, but nothing special. The coffee was average, but certainly not bad. However, I’m taking off two stars, because they try to guilt you into tipping by telling you about all the different tip amounts on the screen, or how you can select no at the bottom, and then handing you the machine to press one of the default tips, or select no while they watch you do it. A lot of people feel uneasy being in that situation so they’ll just do it, which is what they’re betting on. I’ll just tell you straight up no, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and ruined an otherwise good meal. We live in Australia where we pay a decent minimum wage instead of giving servers $3 an hour and forcing them to “flirt” with customers in the hopes they’ll make up the rest of your wage like the US. Don’t bring that culture here. If you want more money then raise your prices. I’ll pay them if it’s worth it. But it’s not fair to ask me how my meal was, and then make me feel awkward by telling you no to a tip, and you should have more respect for your workers to force them to ask for it even though they’re not the ones that served me. If you don’t care about that aspect though, then the food was good. But there’s more to a meal than the food alone....
Read moreWe arrived hungry at 10.30 for breakfast meals came out at 12.00!!! Made a booking for 8 a week prior for guest from Sydney. Arrive on time to find tables given away so we waited 10 minutes while they tried to find tables and space for us. The waitress said I will let you know upfront that meals are taking 30 minutes to come out. We all agreed that was fine. However 90 minutes later with no communication from staff to apologise for wait the meals dribble out slowly. Burnt hard bacon on two of them and hard as rock toast on one. I was very embarrassed as it was my suggestion to come here. They were obviously overwhelmed in the kitchen. Tables all around us were in the same boat and feeling frustrated and hungry. We had places to be and that long a delay for breakfast is really unacceptable on just an ordinary weekend day. The young wait staff ( kids) were great doing their job but the senior staff would not make eye contact. We all agreed if they had of come out and offered some bread or a coffee and an explanation of the delay we would of felt a lot better about it. But there was not one apology. We don’t like to make a fuss at the time hence this review. I would suggest this cafe left a lot of very bad impressions on Sunday, we were wishing we had chosen another spot...
