Zarraffa's Coffee South Tweed — Restaurant in New South Wales

I Used to take clients with disabilities here constantly. Ive had to stop and limit it as much as possible to prevent behaviors and incidents due to your practices. So obviously it’s more important to strictly adhere and enforce an INCONSISTENT rule than accepting clients with disabilities.

EVERY other Zarraffas cafe are happy to rinse out my recently purchased coffee mug if needed, even the scraps of my non dairy coffee never sit in my mug for more than a few hours before the mug is rinsed and it’s washed up with hot soap and water ever night. I do understand health and safety in a kitchen setting and have multiple times NOT used my mug when it was dirty and unsafe. As especially in summer it can be problematic.

However this and ONLY THIS Tweed Zarraffas demand to check my mug before they will accept it . EVERY other Zarraffas I have attended on the Gold Coast which are many!!! Have no problem rinsing my mug with hot water.

I am aware that management will comment hiding behind health and safety rules however this it

1. not a consistent rule
2. more of a power play from this cafe.

It’s more important for this cafe to strictly adhere to an inconsistent and in this case NOT a safety issue than to keep customers. This is NOT how you keep customers! I will now avoid this cafe...

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at zarraffas. Not once but twice. When going through the drive through I ordered my usual and handed over my zarrfaas cup as I usually do. I was told that my cup wasn’t acceptable as it was dirty. I asked them to rinse it out and was told that’s against company policy. Honestly who drives around with a clean cup in their car? Today I went in to order my usual wirh my zarraffas cup. I wasn’t asked “ would you like the premium bean and the complimentary extra shot?” I remembered after the order went through and asked the cashier who retorted “ you’ll have to pay for that” I said yes I know there is no need to be rude. Also I reminded her usually I’m asked when I order as I frequent zarraffas quite alot. She angrily typed it up again in the register and charged me for the premium bean. Then I had to pull another lady over to ask if I could have my extra shot. She seemed confused and assured me it would be in there. When my order arrived it wasn’t a cappuccino at all nor was it even full. So disappointing. ( photos attached) I do understand that these things happen - the reason I am leaving a review is because this is a common occurrence at this zarraffas. Just not acceptable and terrible...

First time I went in the store to have coffee with my husband. I assumed when I order a cappuccino that I will get it in proper mug or cup before I order coffee. I had to tell my husband to go and call someone to clean the tables, there’s tries cups napkins lots of rubbish I set down near the window there’s flies spiders, dirty tables chairs everything never experience ever in coffeeshop the girl that served me she was lying on the counter on her elbow like she’s in pub somewhere then she came wiped down the table and walk back in expect for them to bring my coffee to us but no they callout that 2 cappuccino already but they were in paper cups and those kids. They are not trained by Manager how to serve customers or anyone about the cleaning the shop the tries everywhere even in front of the girl on cash register the tray full of rubbish she just kept staring at it. Worst experience in coffeeshop, never again first, and last time, disappointed...
