Went for dinner twice recently when travelling through Raymond Terrace. First time we were pleased with nice food and cheerful service. We thought coming back with a third person we should try the banquet. Again good service and fast. We were offered an extra dish of beef. It needed much more tenderising. Thee was no choice of dessert as suggested on the menu. And then our host was obviously very busy and rushed and when taking dishes away Rogan Josh sauce went all over my wife’s blouse. Fortunately not white! Also not enough apology was offered to her directly and also our tea or coffee on the menu did not arrive. No real discount / compensation offered. So...

Lovely food. Fair value for money. The naan was excellent - light, fluffy, fresh, not oily at all - they must have a proper tandoor back there. The owner is a charming and genuinely hospitable fellow who made us feel very welcome and the service was outstanding. Did I mention the naan... The korma and rogan josh was lovely, and the saffron rice was perfect. And the naan was good too. All up, we felt it was a pretty authentic experience - and contrary to our travels in India, we loved the true blue Aussie health inspector certificate on the wall - we could even trust the ice and the tap water! Best of both world.

We loved the food, a cheerful hardworking chef, meat cooked to perfection. Lovely dinner out! As a friendly suggestion, i would love to see the restaurant be given a thorough vacuum & clean. Windows washed with some nice curtains! The food is very nice but its a mood killer when you sit on dirty chairs that need replacing or a very good steam clean. Cleanliness is an absolute MUST especially in a restaurants as you cannot help but wonder how clean the kitchen etc is. So my only complaint. Constructive...
