This is probably the quickest turn around I've had between eating a meal (or atleast trying to) and writing a review, and not for a good reason. Based on previous reviews, we had hopes of a tasty authentic Thai meal, weren't we let down.... The mixed entree has 5 pieces in it, here's my honest opinion: The fish cake was moist and had a nice chilli flavour, but it was only the size of the top of a drink can The chicken tenderloin skewer was dry and stringy, it only had light traces of satay flavour The small chicken wing (but not an entire wing, just the 'arm' part) was moist, but again not a lot of flavour The samosa had a really thick pasty and seemed to just be packed with curry paste, didnt find any vegetables, and; The vegetable spring roll was nice, it was about half rice noodle, half vegetable. A mediocre start followed by a disappointing finish. The crispy pork belly was borderline inedible... The meat was dry, the crisp skin was rubbery with some corners offering a slight crunch sound only to be more rubber underneath, the noodles were soggy and the Asian salad was limp and sad squished into the bottom of the container. Dine in if you want to give it a try, less likely to be disappointed for $34, good luck! P.S. It's cash only or some sort of bank deposit, no...

Lemon Grass Pork Stirfry: Again overly generous with the amount of Pork that was in this dish personally I was looking for a bit more vegetables after binging out on my holiday in Coffs Harbour, but any other customer would have welcomed the large portions of meat with open arms, gf liked this dish
Coconut Rice: Very fragrant and delicious ride to go with our dishes highly recommend the coconut rice.
It's no wonder these guys are number 1 on trip advisor, good customer service and...
Read moreWhen you eat well prepared Thai food you get to enjoy a really aromatic experience, with delicate individual flavours jumping out at you. The food at Thai @ 27 has a nice arrangement of vegetables and generous portions and it looks good, but somehow they seem to use a base broth (same no matter the meal) that smashes any subtle flavours and aromas you come to expect from Thai food. A shame really, the restaurant is nice and the atmosphere is good. They get plenty of good reviews by locals etc, so maybe I’m a bit fussy or the locals aren’t used to great Thai. Also last thing they are cash only…. Really...
