I am writing this review after the worst experience I had faced with the restaurant. We had ordered Panner Kadai for a person who has been vegetarian for 70 years; apart from this we had ordered goat masala, veg biryani and samosas at 08.00 pm on 09/12/2023. We took the food home and started the dinner around 09.00pm. To the surprise 70 years vegetarian discovered that the panner kadai taste different. To which we discovered it was Chicken Kadai instead of Panner Kadai, on calling restaurant to complain about the religious sentiment that was hurt of the person who has never eaten non veg in her 70 years of life. Firstly they said we will look into the matter in the morning as the restaurant is closed, are we supposed to have dinner in Morning, what kind of excuse is this? Later they said this kind of mishaps happen, come on man I hardly ordered 3 dishes and you don't have proper staff to address it? The restaurant was taking it very casually and finally started abusing instead of apologizing. The person who started abusing, his name is Dhuloram and claimed to be the chief. I have video evidence of the order which was replaced by 10.30pm. What you guys reckon about the restaurant what would you do if it happens with you? Food was good but the customer service was pathetic. I would never recommend such restaurant, which does not worry about their customers. And I bet if the person was local to Australia, the restaurant would have treated them differently for sure. The very next afternoon we had proper lunch in Indian Treasure Restaurant at 115 Darby St. The owner Harry was so kind, caring and polite and the food was simply amazing. I think you guys need to learn from that person on how to treat Customer. BIG NO to this restaurant I would re-direct all the audience to Indian Treasure located at 115 Darby St. for great experience and...
Read moreWeâre so glad to have this Indian restaurant close to home. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic, with generous portions and great value for money.
We started with the vegetable samosas, which were crisp, hot, and full of flavor. For mains, the Goat Madras was the standoutâtender goat in a rich curry with just the right amount of heat and spice. The Rodoa Chicken was also excellent, with juicy chicken in a sauce that was both comforting and full of flavor.
The Vegetable Biryani was another highlight. It was fragrant, colorful, and filling, with rice that was cooked perfectly and vegetables that still had great texture. Every dish felt carefully prepared, and the flavors were balanced and authentic.
The restaurant itself is small and welcoming, with friendly staff who made the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Overall, this is a fantastic local spot for anyone who loves Indian food. Highly recommendedâweâll...
Read moreSome of the best Indian food in Newcastle. This undiscovered gem has phenomenal food at a very good price. Top 3 Indian Restaurant in Newcastle, probably 2nd best and great value for money. Very fluffy cheese naans. Great curries.
You are not going to get the most outstanding wait service but they are nice but not trained for the basics of waiting tables. For example, the girl who waited our table just put the dishes at one end of the table. She didn't bring my dish to my side of the table which I've never ever seen before in a restaurant. So it is a bit more relaxed but the food is worth it.
I will also add that the toilet is not in the restaurant but is down an alley way next to the restaurant. There are no lights whatsoever along the alley at all so at night, you will have to take a torch or phone with you to navigate the way. Not the...
