I recently went to McDonald's with the intention of grabbing a quick bite to eat and quenching my thirst. To my surprise, I was met with an unexpected and disappointing response when I asked for a cup of free water. This incident left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally.
First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that nearly all food establishments, including fast-food chains, offer free water to their customers. It is a basic necessity that should be readily available to everyone, regardless of whether they make a purchase or not. McDonald's, however, blatantly disregarded this common practice, leaving me feeling undervalued as a customer.
Furthermore, the staff's attitude towards my simple request was far from satisfactory. The employee behind the counter was cold and unhelpful, almost as if my query was an inconvenience to them. Their dismissiveness and lack of empathy only added to my frustration, making the entire experience even more unpleasant.
What is even more perplexing is that McDonald's prides itself on its customer service. With their slogan "I'm lovin' it," one would expect a more customer-oriented approach. Denying something as basic as water contradicts the principles of good service and hospitality, leaving me questioning the company's commitment to its customers.
In conclusion, McDonald's failure to provide me with a cup of free water not only disappointed me but also made me question their dedication to customer satisfaction. It is disheartening to witness such a disregard for a basic necessity, particularly when it goes against industry norms. I hope McDonald's takes this feedback into consideration and reevaluates its policies to ensure a more positive and customer-centric...
Read moreDonât like going to Mc D @ the best of times! Yet with this time poor world & shift work itâs usually all thatâs open đ. The last 2 experiences @ Broadmeadow McD very disappointing! Very poor quality food, Very poor customer service. I go through drive through, so service is usually pretty quick, but with quick service something has to give & itâs usually the quality of the food. A few weeks ago I went through drive through & got just a classic Angus Burger ( which by itself is almost $9.00) What I got was a burger with a meat patty, 1/2 piece cheese, mustard & a lot of Iceburg lettuce (Yet was missing onions, tomatoes & pickles???), took it back & I was treated like a criminal?? They reluctantly made me another one, yet the one it was replaced with was NOT what I had paid for either?? It was a standard bun, with a standard cheeseburger patty (Not an Angus patty) & the other ingredients sitting in the container! As it was the wrong bun to fit these ingredients in? But I was time poor & didnât want to face the rude lady again, so drove off to my night shift without dinner!
So I said I would never be back, Yet a month later, I thought maybe it was just a bad day ? So yesterday I tried ordering a Classic Angus again, this time it actually contained all the ingredients, yet it was put on a small sesame seed bun with all ingredients hanging out everywhere!! Just once I would like to get my order correct (As they charge a ridiculous amount of money for a burger they constantly get wrong, maybe you need to stick with the original burgers only? Not gourmet?).
P.s. 5 stars âď¸ go to the people on Drive through service, they are...
Read moreI would rate this place BELOW one star if I could. Broadmeadow McDonaldâs is quite likely the worst in the Newcastle/Hunter area. This store is plagued with issues. They consistently get orders wrong and frequently donât give you items that you have paid for and then to top it off, the staff then give you attitude for asking for the missing items! The customer service has been appalling on most of my visits (and is actually worse from the managers than the front line team members). The store is absolutely filthy, and looks like it never gets cleaned and the food is often cold when you get it. However, the final straw for me came on 20th June. I ordered through the app, only to be told (after sitting in the drive thru for 15 minutes) that my card declined. This was not true, as the money had been taken from my account and I could provide clear evidence of this. Sadly, the duty manager was rude and uninterested and I was asked to leave the store. So they basically took my money, didnât provide me with my food, then told me to get out. I then had to wait over a week for a refund and I didnât even get an apology. In fact, despite numerous attempts to contact the store manager, my calls went unanswered. I had to chase it up by lodging a complaint through McDonaldâs Australia (who also failed to offer any kind of apology beyond refunding me - like, seriously? Nothing to say about this incident Maccas?!?!). So yeah, I wonât ever be returning to this location. Not acceptable, folks. If you simply must go to McDonalds, Iâd recommend steering clear of...
