Desas Take Away & Vietnamese — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

My wife and I are big fans of Vietnamese Pork Rolls so we have been looking forward to trying this very unassuming local takeaway for awhile.

We ordered the Pork Rolls and a serve of Homemade Spring Rolls. And wow to both.

Firstly the Spring Rolls were awesome (my wife stated they were easily the best she has tasted in Newcastle). Flaky pastry and tasty.

The Pork Rolls were also top quality. Crusty long roll style. Great fresh vegetables and a perfect amount and mix of sauces.

Man, let me tell you about Desa's. This place has one of the top 5 hot chips in Newcastle. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. What more could you want? And if you like flavour, hit up one of the Vietnamese pork rolls. These things are the bomb. I've ordered scallops here and they've been amazing. If I could fault this place on one thing, it's their closing time, but it makes sense. If you're making that much brilliance, you probably can't do it longer than they do. 11/5...

Best takeaway shop in the area that services the locals. Pho is amazing with the menu that she has. Food & pricing & customer service is amazing 🤩.
