Food is nice but far out, put all the options on the menu. I approached the counter and was told I couldnât place an order because a lady was still ordering - sheâd gone back to her table to ask her family questions about how they wanted their food. She came back and had to go back out another two times - all before the lady at the counter would allow me to place my order. No other staff, no pens/paper apparently. Then I went to order; my wife asked for the big breakfast and she asked âhow do you want the eggs cooked?â so then of course I had to go back and ask my wife so now I was one of those people holding up ordering.
I asked the lady at the counter why canât they put the options on the menu so people can come fully prepared? She said they are there, you can have poached, scrambled, etc. I asked âwhere is that on the menu?â because I couldnât see it. She then said âoh, itâs not on the menuâ - perplexingly.
Then after I ordered she told me âyouâre supposed to know what you want when you come up to orderâ - well, excuse me for not knowing how my wife wanted her eggs and the lady before me for not knowing how her family wanted the various options.
Itâs ok for someone who works here to know all the questions they will ask and options they provide but a bit rude to chastise the customer for not knowing these things.
Put the options on the menu. Problem solved.
Oh - and please move the blender thing away from the counter where the lady takes orders as they donât speak loudly enough to be heard over it while someone is making a milkshake or whatever they are doing.
Anyhow, the food is ok but I implore the management to put a bit more thought into how to...

Ordered bruschetta $16, large cap $6 and a coke $5. My total $29?! After the coffee was delivered to our table, my table and I discussed the seemingly overcharge and decided to ask about it when the coke arrived but it didnât come. So when the food was brought out, we asked if we had been overcharged and as she turned and walked away, she stated that the sourdough for the bruschetta was an extra $2 - I wasnât told this when I ordered nor could it be seen on the menu. We relooked at the menu and the bruschetta states it comes with sourdough for $16! Not an extra $2 for sourdough! The lady was quite abrupt and literally was walking away as she answered us saying âwe get it all the timeâ. It felt very awkward and disrespectful as she had her back to us when answering our question and we didnât even get to respond. I then walked back up to the counter and asked a different lady if I get the coke myself and she said yes, which also would have been nice to be told when ordering. Coffee was okay and food was tasty despite the overload of onion, but bread was soggy which is not normal for bruschetta, especially on a sourdough bread that cost a...

As a vegetarian I always swap items and most cafes we frequent are more than happy to accommodate.
I asked for a bacon and egg roll and to swap the bacon for halloumi. The girl said we don't do swaps, I said we are vegetarian I was also getting bacon and eggs swap bacon for halloumi 2 coffees and a milkshake.
She said no swaps only add ons.
I said, let me make sure I understand, you're happy to charge me for an ingredient, bacon that I would not be receiving?
Thats like charging someone for mushrooms and not giving them mushrooms but they still have to pay for something that you're not receiving and add ons are using $4 + I said I don't think its fair that you're happy to charge me for an ingredient that you are not giving me, that like charging someone $4.50 for a donut and donut king and then not giving them the donut
She said you can order the vegan meal. I said but I'm not vegan and if I order it I don't get egg or halloumi.
It wasn't even busy at the time, even the girl on the til looked like she agreed and felt bad because she mouth ' sorry ' to me as the I assume manager or owner was talking.
They just missed out on a $60+ sale + future returns.
It's...
