We left feeling a bit ripped off.
My first impressions on entering this restaurant was it’s noise. Kitchen noises pots pans cooking fans dishwashers glasses. It was extremely noisy or maybe the noises were enhanced due to where we were seated. We were sat close to a table of screaming kids too so Idk. Front of shop staff were wonderful. Well trained and very attentive. American style of being over enthusiastic and gave us a table to sit at quickly. But I never like being told where to sit when a restaurant is only 15% occupancy. Also The table we received had water all over it. We had to grab serviettes to wipe that off. Orders were taken without too much waiting yet once delivered our food looked a bit extreme. Sadly we received Burnt old & stale chips, then burnt hard old wings, someone at our table described them as ‘not fit to eat’ each dish tasted Way Over salted, I have a health issue and do not eat salt, and usually never eat over processed food either so my dish sadly had that over processed taste and cooked with way too much added salt. Nothing on the menu suggests this. No salt fat or calorie or heart health counter. And not all restaurants do it but maybe a warning how lots of salt used in our cooking would have been nice. If I hadn’t been so starving hungry I would have left it. I couldn’t stop drinking water all night & day after eating here. Yes we did mention something to two staff members over the chips but they assured us that the chips looked fine to them. I don’t eat chips but the rest of our table do. I don’t think they ate them.
I think It’s probably a good place to take a few kids to bc kids don’t yet have mature taste buds. They wouldn’t care what’s served up. Mind you The sweets did look good. Maybe it’s a good coffee and cake place?. They have a Limited wine and beer menu. I saw some cocktails. The menus have pictures of all the food. I like that idea, but the food doesn’t exactly come out looking like the pics. And that happens. Maybe it’s just me but when I cook a new recipe I do try to get it to look similar as the recipe pic. Maybe the kitchen staff in this venue could try. Or at least try to use similar dishes on serving maybe. Garlic Bread was nice even though one end was burnt.
Restaurant Theme is similar to Dennys or red lobster in the USA even a bit like Applebees. They are chains and serve an over processed style of dish. Some people like that taste or food. We were advised this was a good place to go but sadly it’s a no from us. it’s just not our type of...

Everything else was trash. We had the vegetarian Halloumi and Mushroom burger, and the salt and pepper squid. I had the burger, and the mushrooms, aswell as just half the burger, were cold. The burger tasted ok at the warm parts, but that's about the nicest thing I can say about it. The chips seemed to have no seasoning and tasted like they'd been sat under a heat lamp for too long. My friend had the salt and pepper squid, and says that it was tough, greasy, and tasteless. The onion rings tasted like nothing wrapped in a crunchy shell.
The service was not good. Half of the staff looked to be on the verge of tears or quitting. It took a while before anyone came to our table to take our order. The staff member who brought part of our order to the table was very short with us and barely said a word, and forgot a sauce substitution we asked for.
At the end of our meal, a staff member came up to us quite quickly, I'm assuming after seeing us being unhappy with the food. They offered us a 20% discount on the food ($67.80 originally) which we appreciated.
When we went to the counter to pay for our food, I noticed food that was being prepared was sat on top of an open bin. I mentioned this to the staff member who was with us and they mentioned it to the kitchen staff. The crate of food (I think they were tortillas or something) was then placed elsewhere in the kitchen, instead of being disposed of as a food safety hazard.
A manager came up to the desk to help out at this point and to speak with us, and we mentioned this to them, and they said they'd take care of it.
Our total (including discount) was $61.05, so I'm not sure what discount they gave but I dont think it was 20%.
Either way, the food was awful, the service was sub-par, and the atmosphere of the restaurant felt like a hospital mixed with a childrens play-place.
I don't think we'll ever be eating at a Rashays again, I would honestly rather go hungry than feel the way I am feeling after...
Read moreI went with my family today for a an early birthday celebration and had the worst experience of my life. The way our order was slammed on the table was a site to see not once but every time. Also we provided candles for the birthday and when the cakes were bought out we were told we ‘didn’t provide candles and we were lying.’ After explaining to the girl she finally realised it was her mistake and bought the cake out with the candles and slammed it on the tablet and it went all over the place yet she just walked away without apologising. After leaving I called RASHAYS to speak the the manager a Rachel picked up said she’s the manager later gave the phone to another girl who hung up on me when I said I wanted to put a complaint and after that I have called at least 20 times with no one picking up the phone. The amount is rudeness and disrespect me and my family have face today has left us speechless. I am disappointed to have even consider this place for my early birthday dinner. The food wasn’t cooked properly and was cold especially the salmon and the chips and mash potatoes felt were left overs. I am feeling sick in the stomach and nauseous and have food poisoning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ! Go on your own risk if you keen of experiencing racism, eye rolls because of your dressing and wearing a head scarf (which my mum and sister were wearing) , rude behaviour from the restaurant staff as have no basic manners on how to serve a customer and later to experience health issues due to the unhygienic food. What a waste of...
