Sherwood Coffee - New Lambton — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Absolutely appalling! Where do I start? I used to be a regular at Sherwood Coffee but now I completely refuse to go here after giving them so many chances to improve. You never know what kind of quality you are going to receive when it comes to food and coffee ESPECIALLY when it comes through Uber eats.

The times I have been into your cafe specifically at Parry Street cafe, the service has been shocking. The cafes are overrun by kids, who seem like they don’t even want to be there or are extremely over worked. I’ve done pick up Uber eats orders and arrived to the store at the supposed ready time, and they literally haven’t even made them yet! This has happened more than 5 times across the Parry street and New Lambton cafes. I’ve also received stale coffee, underdone toasties and bare minimum açai bowls. When I’ve ordered through Uber eats, I’ve received cold coffee WITH MILK IN IT when I only ever order Oat Lattes due to BEING A VEGAN, FROZEN AÇAI BOWLS?!? And most recently I waited 2 hours for an Uber eats order only for half of my order to arrive!

I’m completely done with giving this place and giving it chances to improve, management really need to look at staff training opportunities and not hiring children who couldn’t care about service and quality. I’ve never had this experience at any other cafe in Newcastle and will be spending my...

Unfortunately had a bad experience today. Waited 40-45 minutes for our takeaway Avocado toasts & drinks. After we decided to politely ask for a refund as we had to leave, the staff then informed me that our food was sitting on the counter - and had been for almost the entire time. I had checked this bag twice - noticing it sitting there, but the name on it was “Danny” which the staff then explained that that is the owners name. Feedback for owner/management - Why ask customers to type their name in to the ordering screen if your staff aren’t going to call their name when the food is ready (we were sat inside and they did not) and then not print our name on the receipt on the outside of the bag?? Staff apologised for the wait but had very little care and no acknowledgement of the fact that we waited for our takeaway food…for a long time…while it was actually ready! Just common cafe courtesy to call out when orders are ready. I liked this cafe as it’s close to home & usually great for takeaway. Today...

(Edited what you read next is a review i accidentally left in my drafts and never posted also was a 5 star this is not the case with the bacon and egg rolls, dont know if this was a new cook or hunger over cook or a change of owner thats trying to cut costs but its definitely a noticeable difference 4 x rolls all bacon burnt, all rolls burnt, all eggs over cooked also change of buns from what they had to what they have is not an improvement. I will try again only to check it wasnt just an off day because pervious bacon and egg rolls are beautiful memory and i want them again) (Old review please come back to us we miss you) If you are in the area or even if your not go to this place and get 2x bacon and egg rolls. I don't care if you think you don't need 2. Buy 2 because the first disappears way to fast. Everyone making bacon and egg rolls in Newcastle needs to eat this one, take notes guys this is how it's done.
