Grill'd Burgers - Casuarina — Restaurant in Northern Territory

It absolutely breaks my heart to write a review like this on a restaurant so close to my heart, but without further ado.

SERVICE Service could definently be improved, the two ladies who greeted us were nice enough.

After ordering we were told there would be a 7 minute wait, we waited for about 20 minutes. In that time we were brought 3 orders that were meant for other tables and the staff couldn’t seem to figure out which food was going where. It was not a busy night at the time I was in so there was really no excuse, but however I do believe that everyone has bad days so maybe this was just one of them?

We had to eventually be asked how long we waited for and one of the ladies who originally greeted us had to go around back to sort out our food that must’ve been just sitting there as it didn’t come out hot. Kudos to the greeting ladies

They also only brought out one of the drinks and i’ll explain later my problem with the drinks.

FOOD Was very disappointed with the quality of the food, and I’ve always had good experiences with grill’d food. I ordered the top territory burger which i felt could’ve had a lot of potential if it hadn’t come out late and cold. Now I don’t mind waiting for food, but when it comes out cold it’s a different story.

Don’t even get me started on the sides, I ordered sweet potato fries and the onion rings, both large (to share obviously). On top of them being cold and soggy they were also packed loaded with salt. It felt as though I’ve ordered sides of salt, was not a happy camper.

Now i could’ve gotten over this if I had a thirst quenching beverage to relieve the salty aftermath of the sides. But instead my partner and I both received flat pepsi max bottles.

Possibly could’ve been a bad batch and generally just a bad night for the staff, i will have to follow up this review in a few weeks to find out.

ATMOSPHERE Generally One of the best grill’d restaurants I have been in for atmosphere. Seemed to be nice people around inside aswell as a pleasing aesthetic and perfectly dimmed LED lighting. There was plenty of couch seating which i’m a big fan...

This was my first time at Grill'd. I ordered my burger and chips online before I went to work so I could pick it up after work for dinner. The online ordering process was simple and efficient and it was great that I could modify my burger and pay online.

I didn't know where to go in the restaurant to collect the order so I stood in line at the front counter, and a passing waitress asked me if she could help or if I wanted a menu, which was really great. Very impressed. Prompt and super friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. When I told her I was there to pick up an online order, she went and checked it out straight away and she informed me it was being boxed up right at that moment. The order was ready exactly when they said it would be, even though it was an incredibly busy Friday night. The gentleman giving me my order was very friendly and professional. As I was taking my food, the guy cooking burgers on the grill behind the guy that gave me my food turned around and smiled at me and wished me a great night and gave me a wave and then turned back to cooking. Super friendly staff. I left happier than when I came in.

The food was absolutely amazing. The portions were generous but they weren't overwhelming, so I was left satisfied but not feeling like I was going to explode. The "snack size" chips is actually a very decent portion. Nothing was oily. Extremely tasty and fresh. Great variety on the menu. Top quality ingredients and you can taste that quality. Rang up the Casuarine Grill'd as my burger was completely wrong.

I ordered a Simon Says chicken burger on a panini bun with no onions or relish, upon opening the box I found that the burger was not in a panini bun and inside was onions and beef not sure what burger it was but it obviously was not mine.

The staff lady who answered my call could hear me perfectly and was ready to take my order until I mentioned my order was wrong and then suddenly the line was a terrible line and she could not hear me. I tried call 3 times and tried every square inch of my house to try get a better line for them but they still couldn't hear me conveniently.

I could hear them fine other than the loud bustling of the restaurant but the lady still struggled so I asked if I could speak to the manger, before passing the phone over I clearly heard 'Jacob can you speak to this lady she is being DIFFICULT'.

In the end, after a very breif conversation with manager 'Jacob' he then magically could not hear me and just stopped talking, I could still hear the background noise.

Disgusting service, would not recommend as prices are ridiculously high, the food is bang average and customer service...
