Let me start with the pros of my dine in experience: Restaurant looks clean & neat Service was relatively fast Highly recommend the Char Koey Teow. Would definitely return for this.
Now the cons: As a fellow Malaysian, I normally judge the authenticity of the food by ordering our iconic national dish : Nasi Lemak. The one I tried today was quite disappointing. The rice is not very fragrant, amount of curry chicken was relatively little and watery (fragrance is there but the taste wasn't strong enough), the amount of the accompanying side dishes were sad looking as well. IMO, they could've given 2 jumbo rice crackers instead 3 small ones (they weren't very crispy too. My partner feels that they were stale). The most disappointing part of the dish was the sambal and that was suppose to be the highlight. It literally taste like chilli jam (too sweet), not spicy and definitely not fragrant. The price point is quite steep for the amount given. If I was to compare to the Indonesian stall at the lower ground food court for the price and taste, they would win hands down. The servers look a bit lost. Maybe they should put a sign saying "Please wait to be seated".
We only tried 2 dishes. Hopefully when we come back to try other dishes, they...

Update 18/06/2025 PM I’m usually happy here and have been a regular customer, but not tonight. I arrived at 7:57 pm, scanned the QR code, and before I could even read the menu, a waiter came over and asked if I was ready to order—then reminded me they close at 8:30.
I understand closing procedures, but if new customers aren’t welcome that close to closing time, a “closed” sign would be clearer. I left quietly without making a fuss, just so the staff didn’t feel pressured to stay late....
Read moreWhat a Rip-Off! - Warong's culinary catastrophe - $23.90 for frozen Roti?! I don't usually leave harsh reviews, but Warong absolutely deserves this one.
$23.90 for roti with chicken curry — and they had the audacity to serve frozen roti. Not handmade, not fresh — just sad, rubbery, store-bought bread.
$7 for 4 tiny samosas — barely bite-sized and completely underwhelming.
$19.50 for wanton noodle soup that was flat, bland, and tasteless. Zero flavor, zero care.
This place is a rip-off. They’re clearly cutting every corner while still charging premium prices. It’s lazy, careless, and insulting to the customer.
Don’t waste your money here. You’ll get better quality and portion size at a food court for half the price. Warong seriously needs to fix their food quality or stop charging like they’re a high-end restaurant.
First and last time eating here,...
