My daughter and I go to this Hungry Jacks regularly as she loves HJ burgers, Fries, Soft-serve (cone ice-cream). (Trower Rd and Bradshaw Ave) We have been doing this regularly for the last three years. It is located next to a McDonald's but my daughter does not like their burgers. It has been usual for HJ to have a faulty Milk Shake Machine. I requested the Head Office to fix this a few times. Just a waste of my time. Head Office gives me a free burger etc. Somehow they think I am a child interested in the free stuff they give away. I did NOT use any of the tokens etc. Since 20th. May 2022 they have been out of tomato sauce. One day I took my own bottle of tomato sauce because my daughter only eats chips with sauce. As of Friday, last week they were still out of sauce. On one occasion a "manager" gave me a complementary ice-cream. On another occasion the the same manager got me the sauce from behind the counter (bulk sauce they use for all burgers) The staff is usually polite. The store is clean though a bit noisy soon after school ends.. Training staff, cleaning the store, and giving away free ice creams can only get the sales "up a certain limit."Hungry Jack's Management needs to be held accountable for these failures. On one occasion my daughter and I happened to be there when the store was being audited. I spoke with the auditor and complained that the TV had not been working for over a month. He and the store manager tried to fix it. Two months later it was still NOT working. Now, they have removed it. Research Shows that HJs and Wendy's make better burgers than McDonald. The lower sales of both HJ and Wendy's are attributable to poor management. A change of Corporate management is indicated. Line staff can only do so much. How I wish, competent line staff had the power and authority to fire Plainly Lazy and Incompetent Management. Management can bully, intimidate, threaten, cajole, reward, seek productive engagement of staff or they can just hire highly motivated individuals. However, neither customers nor line staff to do any of these to management. Hungry Jack, I am sure can do better. I had a really enjoyable experience at Hungry Jackâs Casuarina. I ordered the vegetarian burger with fries, and it exceeded my expectations. The burger was packed with flavorâthe patty was well-seasoned, had a great texture, and paired perfectly with the fresh toppings. The lettuce, tomato, and sauce complemented the patty well, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. It was a satisfying and well-balanced meal, proving that vegetarian options here are just as delicious as the meat-based dishes.
The fries were a great sideâcrispy, golden, and well-seasoned. They were served hot and had the perfect crunch with every bite. They werenât too oily, and the portion size was generous, making them the perfect addition to my meal.
The service was friendly and welcoming. The staff were polite, took my order quickly, and made sure I had everything I needed. The only small downside was that the food took a little longer than expected to arrive. While the wait wasnât too long, it was noticeable, especially since the restaurant wasnât extremely busy at the time. However, the quality of the food made up for it.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, with a nice casual vibe. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had a good seating arrangement. It was a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed.
Overall, I had a great dining experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The only reason Iâm giving it four stars instead of five is the slight wait time, but that wouldnât stop me from coming back. I have ordered today and asked to have my meal with NO BACON, and assured the front counter that it should be with no bacon, she just said okay and ignored me. I got my order and went home, opened my meal to find my burger with a price of bacon placed in away that is 100% intentionally put and that I see it. I called the shop and explained, she said come and will get you a replacement. Said okay and went to the shop again.
After that, the important story comes, I asked for the manager and she was saying that she is the manager, and her badge clearly says assistant manger, so I told her to call for her manager because she is not, and she already is careless when I told her 3 times to check and she did not. She said I am sorry, I told her okay and she asked for my replacement. She told the kid in the kitchen to make a new one without bacon and he yelled at her with a funny way (why?! I already did it) and he starting making fun of my order, and of his assistant manager. Making sounds and yelling and laughing at her, he was humiliating her and making fun of my order, she was doing nothing more than telling him to make it.
That is when I told her, cancel my order and refund my money, I'll speak to your manager.
