Saffrron Express — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I have eaten here a total of 3x. The food here is 10/10, however, I have been overcharged every single time.

The first time, I was charged a credit card fee when I was paying cash. The second time, I was charged extra for one particular item on the menu. The third time, I made sure I had the right amount of money for what I wanted to order but I was quoted extra over the phone. The man told me it was the price that came up on the store computer. I ordered my meal. When I went to pick it up, Selvam was there. The man at the counter who had quoted me extra $$ hesitated before giving me my change. After he was prompted from Sel, he gave me ...... the CORRECT CHANGE.

Selvam, I have tried to contact you via your restaurants page and have not received a response. Patrons are being overcharged at your Alawa store.

I urge the public to check the price prior to ordering and picking up. I love the food but I won't return until this...

I recently ordered takeaway from Saffron Express in Alawa and was really impressed! I got the Mix Veg Curry, Garlic Naan, and Spinach Onion Bajji. Mix Veg Curry: The curry was rich and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. It had a good variety of vegetables, and the sauce was perfectly balanced—creamy, savory, and delicious. Garlic Naan: The naan was soft, warm, and had a lovely garlic flavor that complemented the curry. It was a perfect side to scoop up all the curry goodness! Spinach Onion Bajji: These were crispy on the outside and tender inside. A great appetizer! The spinach and onion filling was fresh, and they paired well with the chutneys. Saffron Express Alawa is hands down one of the best food spots in Darwin! Every dish we ordered was full of flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb vindaloo had just the right amount of heat, and the garlic naan was fresh and fluffy.

The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Service was quick, and the food came out hot and fresh—even for takeaway, everything was packaged well and tasted like it had just come from the kitchen.

The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, Saffron Express is a must-visit. We’ll definitely...
