I lost my appetite for this business today. I’ve been getting my morning tea there over time. I have a big belief in treating people the way I want to be treated. Today I overheard a gentleman approach a person who I was told is the owner about offering his companies services regarding products for cafes etc. I was the person in tan pants and a white shirt. The owner was gruff from the start and descended into outright rudeness. The gentleman handed a brochure (I’m assuming from his company or employer) to this man who promptly threw it in the bin. This gentleman was just doing his job and from what I could hear was trying to explain his purchasing process. I heard the owner state something about buying pallets of stock. I watched this gentleman retrieve his brochure from the bin and leave. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Totally unacceptable. I felt sorry for this gentleman. I imagine it’s tough times for many businesses atm but copping this sort of treatment is demoralising. I felt embarrassed for him. I’m sorry for the long winded story but assuming that maybe other stakeholders are involved in this business, they should know. My morning tea goes elsewhere...

Was looking forward to a nice Sunday breakfast however was super disappointed. The Canadian breakfast was basically dry, cold pancakes with leathery burnt bacon which I only had a few bites of (and I’m really not a fussy eater). It was like eating furniture. Decided to order an açai bowl - thought that might be better. It still hadn’t arrived even after my friend had finished her food (which had been ordered at the same time as the açai)… would’ve been a good 30 minute wait. In the end I caught the server’s attention and started to ask about it (said we needed to get going), only to have the server walk away without listening properly, disappeared for a good 5 mins only to return with cash in hand, dumps it on the table and says “there you go”. And promptly walks away! WTAF?!?! Incredibly rude, awful food and definitely won’t be back. Have to say the young boy that works there was very polite and friendly when he cleared our table. A nice kid with a friendly demeanour. Could teach the adults there a...

Unless "Skal" is Scandinavian for "very slow", then this coffee shop's name is very misleading. It was a 20 minute wait for a single takeway long black at 1030am on a Sunday. 20 minutes! It's one thing to be busy but there is no excuse not to give customers an indicative preparation time prior to placing their order if that's the case. The concept of customer service at this joint is more foreign than their name. No apologies once I enquired 15 minutes later as to where my coffee had gotten to, just a blank look as if I was in the wrong for having dared enquired. In the end I went to Hand of Fatima for prompt and polite service and a lovely allpress bean long black, having given up on the Skal coffee altogether not knowing if it'd ever arrive. Do yourself a favour and walk 3 doors down to this cafe instead as it's the far better cafe operation that a will actually treat you like a real person and provide you with top quality...

If you're looking for a delicious breakfast spot in Peregian Beach, look no further than Skål Coffee! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cafe and was blown away by the quality of their food and service. The OatCap was particularly tasty, and the plain croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery. But the real star of the show was the Açaí and Mango Bowl - it was absolutely delicious and filled with a variety of fresh, colorful fruits. The small spoons provided were a nice touch, and left us feeling fully satisfied. Overall, I highly recommend Skål Coffee to anyone in the area looking for a great meal and friendly service

It’s a shame staff are so rude (not the first time the service has been bad but definitely the last for me). It’s really not nice to treat customers like they are an inconvenience & cut them off abruptly when asking a question. As a Sunshine Coast local I won’t bother going back as there are plenty of other businesses worthy of support. Sticky date muffin was really dry. Eggs Benedict - was alright.

Friendly greeting upon arrival. Good coffee and the outdoor area is great on a sunny day, pooches welcome too! Poached eggs were basic but fine - butter eas offered as the plate was put down. Would be great if scrambled was an option. Peanut butter bowl was pretty and huge - a unique texture. Definitely stop by for a coffee and dog spotting.
