This place is the best!! Please do yourself a favour and ignore the most recent negative reviews. My family and i are regulars who always enjoy delicious souvlakis, open platters and HSPs to die for. The service is always on point and its always our first stop when visiting the Island.
The customer(s) isnt always right and i am here to defend the restaurant and their amazing staff from what i witnessed last night. I dont usually leave reviews and am only doing so as the people who are at fault have left theirs just as the staff thought they would. I was chatting to the manager yesterday making sure she was OK after she handled the situation like a star.
Last night a disgusting family of about 9 ate at the restaurant in the outside eating area. Being so close to the water, seagulls are often on the attack. These people stood up on completion of their meals and left so much of their rubbish behind that was blowing towards the water and also causing seagulls to literally attack.
The restaurant staff were inside taking orders and cooking and upon hearing the comotion outside with the birds, the manager kindly asked them to please take their rubbish to the bin. The two aggressive female customers absolutely lost it and yelled at this woman saying it wasn't their job to do so. The manager agreed that it wasn't their job to do so but it was just to help reduce the risk of seagulls attacking. It's appalling that these people lack basic customer courtesy and table manners.
They were ganging up on the staff saying that the service was poor and that a sign should be put up to ask people to pick up their mess. What kind of people treat a restaurant as a tip just because they paid for a meal?
Two gentlemen sitting inside the restaurant told these customers that they were disgraceful and showed no respect towards the staff and to the rest of the diners in the establishment and that they lacked basic decorum.
Let me confirm that the restaurant was clean and tidy when and the staff members were amazing as they always are.
No establishment wants entitled and rude customers who leave one sided reviews to justify their lack of human decency because they spat their dummy.
As there were about 9 of them from this family, I'm guessing there will be more negative reviews so that they can have the numbers behind them. Please make up your own mind and try this place...
Read moreI went here today for a simple lamb souvlaki. Understandably at Christmas holiday time, it was busy. There were a back log of orders but not excessively like other venues we walked by - 5 staff were on, 1 taking orders and also helping with food.
The lady taking orders was the first red flag. No niceties or even a smile, just prepped to quickly lock your order and your money away. No mention of the ridiculously long waiting time you'd have to endure in case you suddenly decided on the popular and bustling fish and chip place next door.
The man I presumed was the owner was grumpy and appeared unhappy and ungrateful towards both his staff and the customers who had poured into his shop. It was as though he and his staff would rather be at home and unburdened by offering a food service during a holiday period.
I waited close to 30 mins for my overpriced souvlaki. My order was behind a few boxes of hot chips and a chicken souvlaki or two. Not complex orders. When my number finally got called very quietly, it had no more than 6 small chunks of bland, dry lamb in it, a few bits of tomato, and a below average sprinkle of limp lettuce. Luckily I paid extra for extra tzaziki to make the dismal souva edible...for my husband. I gave it away.
Maybe the whole place was having a bad day but I would definitely save your valuable time and money by going elsewhere. Where there's little customer service, there's little quality. Both go hand in...

The owner has no idea about running a shop and she has zero customer service. You don't go yelling behind two familys that just had their dinner crossed the road and she goes yelling after us.
